What's wrong with the official MP Missions?

Official 2-6 coop missions or campaign would be awesome. Hopefully BIS can come up with that stuff after or with expansion because the game is really missing nice coop with a friend or two. And if anyone know missions for vanilla Arma 3 that are suitable for 2-4 players and aren't outdated then I'm happy to have a link :P So BIS next time you make anything like MANW then have a category like: COOP Mission/Campaign packet, for 2-6 players. Or better, make those by yourself. 5-10 pack of nice missions. That's the stuff how people can get in the game.
  2. What does the inputs in the configuraion show to you? Can you get -100 and +100. In this game the inputs go from 100 to -100, not 0 to 100, just to give you a hint. Have you pressed the Show button in it? It gives more option and shows your true input values so you can see if you can reach that 100 or do you get less. Here's the pic about it: I've HIDE button highlighted because I already pressed show. I need that 1.2 for my gas pedal to get the full 100% input. My pedals do rotate the chopper as fast as with keyboard. Just came in my mind, why there even is that hide and show, whn everyone wants to always see those things when calibrating analog stuff... I made a ticket about that http://feedback.arma3.com/view.php?id=26162
  3. That and the usual visual glitch that many games have where you can see clearly underwater when you're right in the level with water and air. Two actually bad visual problems with the water/ocean in Arma but I don't believe Waveworks is needed to fix those.
  4. Yep and there'a maybe another plaque mentioned in the ticket notes that is either related or maybe another issue?
  5. Hmmm for the Youtube 360 view someone likely needs to make a program that can capture the game video like that. I haven't seen that done in Arma and it likely requires someone to make a program or something first for the game. The 3D recording I meant doesn't have anything to do with 360 field of view recording so that's totally different thing.
  6. The second one is kind of possible in a veeeeery simple way. Kind of if you look at map and see player markers going on there and then it's possible to record who shoot where and what killed what. I can't remember what was the name of the "mod" or was it even public but it looked useful to see how the match went, see where everybody actually were and what to make better next time.
  7. You mean 360 degree field of view or that the session is recorded and then you can in the replay fly around in 3D?

Syria - What should we do if anything?

Can someone explain what's happening @2:00-> what those explosions are? And where they're shooting @1:30 because it looks like they're shooting the air? Sorry I've no idea about that stuff :D
  9. OK there's something going on. I found out that there were whole mods in that folder again... So it didn't work for me either... It was different yesterday and I had only .bin files. So yes this is a big issue. We shouldn't have mods installed in the XX\SteamLibrary\SteamApps\workshop\content\107410, so please BIS fix that! Or otherwise the new Workshop mods install folder is worthless feature.

Benchmarking Arma with new i5-6600K and 3000mhz DDR4

Hmm so you've HD6970. I think it's better to low some graphics. I'd say disable every AA&PP setting at least. The important thing is that GPU shouldn't ever to get at 100% usage or it lowers the average fps. Also the graphs from the YAAB would be nice to see. So find the good video settings first and then, the results should be easily comparable. But I assume that YAAB didn't bottleneck your GPU so I'll try now with the same graphic settings. ///// i7 2600K @ 3.9GHz, 9-11-10-28. This likely means I'm 0,5-1fps behind comparing to your RAM, but I7 can help bit to compensate that. YAAB, High pre-set video settings, results avg 36,6fps. So in a battle where is much shooting and AI stuff going on and explosion smokes are covering the screen many times, the difference between Sandy Bridge and Skylake is around ~1fps. Likely that's the increase in multiplayer when the fps in there is around 20-40fps. But yeah please post the graph from the benchmark. Easier to see where the improvement is happening and how much there is that. I bet your Helo benchmark has some GPU bottlenecks because I can get higher results (66fps) with the config above.

Benchmarking Arma with new i5-6600K and 3000mhz DDR4

If he can give nice results for us, then we'll see. At least with that YAAB if he can improve fps nicely then it can be worth it but that all depends how much you want to spend money on what fps improvement.

Benchmarking Arma with new i5-6600K and 3000mhz DDR4

The Helo benchmark can vary a bit sometimes so make multiple runs and if you're comparing stuff analyze and watch the benchmark carefully. I've somehow missed that YAAB benchmark. Need to test it ASAP :P I'd suggest give us at least 4.0GHz CPU clock results. Also what are your RAM timings? Giving that information and if you could downclock timings and/or speed then we could put the RAM in the level with some DDR3. For example in Arma 3 DDR3 10-10-10-28 2133MHz is as fast as DDR4 16-16-16-36 2800MHz. That way at least I and likely some others with somewhat high end DDR3 sticks could easily compare some clock-to-clock results when the RAM is set on the same level like I said earlier.
  13. Oh so it was partially because of this. I've already had some weird corruption issues with Arma 3 subscribed content for three weeks already. It wanted to download something for Assetto Corsa that doesn't even have Steam Workshop so it looped that download all the time. I noticed the same issue that you have but I thought it was only because of the issue I had. EDIT: Aaaaand the below didn't work for me either though I was sure... But at least it fixed the weird download loop issue that I had. EDIT2: Or maybe it helped but I needed to delete things once again because of some reason. Check the below if you want to give it a try and don't give up.

    U.S.A. Foreign Policy & Defense

Yes naturally the bomber just follows orders. We will hear maybe later was he given wrong information from Afghans or what went wrong but the fact still is that it was bombed by American. Doctors Without Borders isn't just a small charity group so it's big tragedy for them.

    U.S.A. Foreign Policy & Defense

A Doctors Without Borders hospital in Afghanistan was struck accidentally after Afghan forces called for air support from the American military, Gen. John Campbell, the commander of U.S. forces in Afghanistan, said Monday. Saturday's bombardment in Kunduz has sparked international outrage. It killed 12 medical staff members and at least 10 patients, three of them children, Doctors Without Borders said. Another 37 people were wounded, according to the global charity group, which works in conflict zones to help victims of war and other tragedies. Every person who died at the hospital was Afghan, the group said. http://edition.cnn.com/2015/10/05/asia/afghanistan-doctors-without-borders-hospital/ Well that didn't go like expected.

Amazing FPS - Only When Alt-Tabbed

Well this sounds very interesting thing. Too bad that I don't have dual monitor setup to test this.

    Soldier protection (dev branch)

OK so the VR dolls weren't right but now they should be the same as normal man. Time to test more, but I have to say at first that the VR dolls worked more like I'd expect when I tested things yesterday. Let's see how things are now. /Oh there are more places in the leg that are more critical for shot so firing lower than knee takes more than above. It can also vary bit if shot from back, front, side and so on. Also I seem to find the critical place with a rifle from the back back/head but pistol can't one shot in there and with rifle I can't get it everytime. So if you could give a weak spot in there it would be very nice. CSAT clothes (fatigues, pilot coveralls, ghillies at least) seems to take more damage. Other fatigues are like they don't protect any more than normal clothes (so you die in one shot) but CSAT seems to take two 5.56/6.5mm and five 9mm. Intented? No wonder they seem to be terminators in this game :D I can understand if they can take more because the suit looks pretty high tech and all that but no wonder the campaign felt so unbalanced because 1 CSAT = 2 any other.

    European Politics Thread.

It's getting interesting with Turkey what they will try to demand from EU so they'll keep borders closed. For example Turkey getting part of visum free movement inside Europe is one thing that has been tossed around.

    Soldier protection (dev branch)

The complaint about the leg shot is that the one who got shot in the leg doesn't actually limb or anything. He only walks casually when he should be forced to crawl or limb or some other animation. It doesn't look authentic at all and at least I always think "why that guy doesn't run" until I remember that he was shot in the leg. It's very confusing when the guy just walks casually like nothing. In Arma 2 it was obivious if you were shot in the leg and an arm shot made the gun sway like crazy everywhere but that should be in Arma 3 also. /BTW should we give feedback with the VR Training "dolls" or with normal Man because the results are different. One difference already is that I need two shots on a normal armoured man when I shoot behind the neck in the exposed area but with VR guy it need only one shot. So I wonder if the boxes are different and which one is the right one to give feedback? I like the armour with the VR Training dolls and they can take multiple shots in the leg and arms but a normal man the story is very different.
  20. Wow that's crazy amount of stuff! Thanks BIS! Time to move some mods

I bet there's more to come because Russia is now focusing on Syria. Something will likely happen in the east also.

Intel Core i3-6320, the ultimate Arma CPU?

As the ceeeb's link shows, Broadwell and Skylake are the fastest ones currently. There's likely bit more than the pure raw core power like L1, 2, 3 caches and so on that affects the performance. Skylake can catch Broadwell when OC'd and Skylake can take faster memory so it can get past very likely. That Broadwell shows that Intel got potential for improvement over the Skylake because Broadwell uses DDR3L memory and if it could take faster memory it would be 10-15% what it currently is and it's running 0,5GHz lower clocks which is another 10-15% if it can be OCd like Skylake. But for those reasons it''s in par with Skylake and bit worse when OCd if both CPUs are pushed to the limit.
  23. Yeah it was kind of weird at first. I also wondered something about the Guard Code but then I solved it quickly. Try to check your email or find a button that says "send Steam Guard Code to e-mail" or something similar.

    European Politics Thread.

Some funny points but also very much the other end propaganda or biased. 12:03 is like the most shittiest reason to be tossed. World doesn't need more people. Like finally something is going in the right way but then bussniessmen aren't happy because they can't keep money growing because there isn't enough people. Finally we could do something different in Europe and not rely on growth, but no... Maybe we will keep Arabic and African countries as our baby factories and travel them to work here in the future which is sickening...
