  1. Hi guys, I'd just like to know the code/logic for a few simple tasks making a simple mission: -How do I recognize when an enemy unit (objective) is taken down eg: if !(alive Officer1) then {endMission ("Succeeded"); How would I trigger this without having to actually run into a trigger on the map? -How do I make a basic cinematic intro to a mission? -How do I make a helicopter pilot land to pickup/deliver to a drop off point so that the pilot will wait for the player and/or named units part of player's group? I hope this isn't asking to much I just started to pick up scripting the other day and thought it was quite fun to learn. Thanks guys.
  2. Why would they be releasing an expansion pack when they haven't even fixed the actual game to run properly?
  3. I'd just like to say all these fanboys sticking up for the game, I mean there will always be fanboys making up excuses for the poor development of this game. You see why would this topic be here in the first place? It's troubleshooting! People having problems running it. And it seems to me there's alot of people with problems because these forums are plagued with people having issues running the game and bugs. So you fanboys claiming the game runs fine for you, well that's great you may have the near coincidental rig set up that happens to be perfect for Arma 2, but please post up some shots with Fraps. I still conclude that this game is poorly coded/optimized because why would I be getting 30 fps when I'm running the game almost equivilent to the graphics of Battlefield 2? This game is fun to play but is a piece of shit in the way it was made. Here we go with the fanboy posts again.......................:j: Specs: 4GB DDR2 9800 GTX + Overclocked Intel Q9550 Overclocked Striker 2 Formula 780i Vista Ultimate 32 bit (and no it's not Vista)
  4. People who are saying this game runs smooth either coincidently have the perfect system and balance or just do not know much about the technical side of things like fps and so on. Although to some people 30 fps might consider to be "smooth" to some, but 30 fps is gaming hell for me I need to be at least about 45 fps minimum.
  5. Post your computer specs, and the average frames per second you get.
  6. Hahaha, it is poorly optimized even many reviewers had said so. I myself believe so and as do other people within these forums, why do you think this topic is here in the first place? After observing your posts you are what we call a "fanboy" :D.
  7. Yes that is true but what I am saying is why would a game lag badly when the graphics are on par with BF2 minimum draw distance and so on? And no its not my system I can play other high end games quite fine. The fact is Arma 2 is poorly optimized hence why I am posting in this section of the forums.
  8. Ahhhh, graphically im talking about here. I'm talking about a game that is maxed it that surpasses the graphics that my current Arma 2 settings are. And if running well for you means around 30 fps then I am getting the same. And yes, I have done alot of reading. This game is obviously poorly optimized.
  9. This is probably the worst optimized game I have ever played. The lag is terrible. I feel like I wasted my money on this. The game seemed like it had so much potential but the bugs and coding is just terrible. I got 60+ fps in The Club PC with every setting maxed out (AA and AF) on 1680 x 1050. In Arma 2 I got 25-28 fps with every setting at its lowest (AA, AF disabled, 3d resolution 900 x 600), every other setting was on low and if it could go lower it was on very low. After 3 patches the game still runs like s**t. I really wish I could get my money back. Its said how the gameplay is quite good but the playability is just terrible. Btw my pc specs: 780i MoBo 4gb DDR2 ram 9800 GTX + overclocked Intel Q9550 quad overclocked to Q9770 level Vista Ultimate 32 bit
