Zooloo thank you very much. This really adds to the immersion! below a 'nice' sitatuation happened when playing some CQC. First operator died in a last stand fight, and I fell against the wall 'like in the movies'. Your mod really adds alot as without it wouldn't have been so dramatic. Also when approaching a distant firefight, hearing the silence set in and finally getting to the battlefield and seeing all the carnage is really 'nice'. disclaimer: I do not endorse nor romanticise violence, hence the quotation marks -
Hello community, I'm playing around in the editor and looking to create something like the hunger games catching fire where you'd get fog at that moment, lightning,... but something more suitable for the armaverse. I'm basically stuck at the moment. Say I have the following scripts in my script folder: Script01 Script02 Script03 Now I want them to be activated at specific intervals on specific locations indicated by markers. I've found a script that randomizes which script is launched at the start of the mission, but it doesn't sequence them. So all it does is select for example script02 to begin with but that's it. I want them to be activated, be it random or specified (script01 then 02 then 03), and then looped. I'm really dyslexic concerning scripting since I haven't followed any courses or what not. Also I looked around in the forums but haven't found anything. Help is greatly appreciated. Sarge4267

I've tried several things. -First I tried setpos and getpos in different ways. Simultaneousely with the move, before executing the move and directly after executing the move. -I also tried disable AI with all possibilities: http://community.bistudio.com/wiki/disableAI -Lastly I tried changing it to chernarus and other island with the same result. You're right he isn't crouched To show you what is happening I've searched for a location with a decent slope. I've uploaded a video (don't mind the quality) showing what is happening. It doesn't matter what unit I use, it's still the same result each and every time. The issues as seen in the video are: -His body not adapting, only his legs; -The switching of position at the beginning and the end of the animation. Also I sped up the animation in video editing, so you know this isn't the animation itself that's sped up for some reason -

I can use the following move just fine using both playmove and switchmove: Now for the issue: whenever I use the move, the unit becomes a dwarf-like figure due to the animation starting at a higher elevation than where the unit originally was. You can see this in the pictures provided. Original position before activation of the move: New position after activation of the move which results in the dwarf Has anyone else experienced such problems and if so, what did you do to solve it? Any help is greatly appreciated. -

It's an awesome mod Jarhead but I have one remark concerning your "readme". For me it's rather hard to read because of the colours used. I don't know if I'm the only one..maybe you could make the background more transparent, or use another colour for the font. Anyways just a small remark :)

Well I wasn't specific enough. It is allowed in my country in general, but it isn't allowed in the military. And the military of my country is one of the few who don't allow for laser correction in the airforce. It's a shame really because even in NASA they use femto-lasik, a laser correction technique. -

i'm halfway trough the campaign and I must say it's amazing. Never experienced this. A vibrant atmosphere, no cheesy/awkward voice acting... great!! I hope you'll be making more of these!

Hey guys, I'm digging up an old thread i know but..I can't get setidentity to work. I first made a mission and saved it, then I made a description.ext (by making a new notepad file and saving it as>all files> Description.ext) and within this description I type the following lines: class CfgIdentities { Class tom { name="Tom Bergeron"; face="Face01"; glasses="Delta_glasses"; speaker="Male01EN"; pitch=1.1; }; }; After that in the editor I place a unit and in the init I type this setIdentity "tom"; Now, I've tried reloading the mission as well as completely restarting the editor but the guy won't change his face. Can you guys see what I'm doing wrong here? EDIT: now I can't even load the mission, it just crashes EDIT2: ok i've got it working It seems that this was the problem: class CfgIdentities { [color="#FF0000"][b]c[/b][/color]lass tom { name="Tom Bergeron"; face="Face01"; glasses="BlackSun"; speaker="Male01EN"; pitch=1.1; }; }; I had a capital 'c' instead of a regular one. I hope this helps others -
