I hope this is fixed too its not acceptable anymore. (demanding I know) but this game is PC exclusive DX11 compatible and from 2013 it shouldn't have 256k shadow maps anymore unless you the player want them. Even on highest settings on Arma 2 I still didn't like shadows I just play Arma 2 without shadows saves me alot of framez iz teh exploits!

Was conned the same way with Operation Flashpoint Dragon Rising. Prescripted canned demos of the game running with non existing game assets. Gearbox is putting itself on my developer shit list. Sucks because I was really looking forward to a good Aliens game.

Fly around Stratis in a Littlebird. Test all the guns and vehicles and watch their sexy animations. Run around in day and night time to drool over the graphics but probably at 10 fps. Test ragdoll and destruction of buildings with place able satchel charges. Go diving. :D

I love TotalBiscuit. I have stopped preordering games Ive been burned enough and lied to enough. Examples Dragon Rising (Dragon Crap) This game CM lied through their teeth hyped me to high heaven and then was the biggest disappointment in my gaming life. Horrible graphics even maxed on PC, horrible multiplayer and a whole host of missing content that was previously "promised" to be in the final game. Starcraft 2 (to some degree) mainly because of Battle.net 2.0 (really more like .5) a whole host of missing features crippled the experience and now I have to buy Heart of the Swarm (another 40 dollars) if I want those features unless they're patched into the Wings of Liberty... Mass Effect 2 this game was disappointing on PC. Anyways I will never preorder a game again not even for Arma 3. I remember watching the pre release demo and how the developers were showing off the deferred rendering they had worked on for the game. Yes this whole operation was bait and switch. It doesn't take a big company like Gearbox Software 5+ years to develop a game unless its always on the back burner and only 50 or less people working on it at once. I remember waiting for BIA HH to release (also another bait in switch in some ways if you watch the old E3 2006 demo) then compare it to the actual release of BIA HH in 2008, bad multiplayer, bugs like crazy, generic graphics. I lost faith in Gearbox over the years.

No on march release for obvious reasons. Still haven't seen alpha community preview nor has BIS ever officially stated in what stage the game is in development.

yeah im thinking about it the main thing is I just want to make it look like vista/windows 7, and entirely never have to use the Metro garbage and have to do things entirely different like going to shutdown computer under settings... i mean who's idea was that? So unintuitive. Start button was already simple enough to use..... well i guess if you decent eye sight it was...

So my HDD died :( It had OS preloaded which was Vista Home Premium 64bit and i purchased this computer back in 2008. Oh and was stupid and hardly backed up anything on my PC, so I lost everything pretty much. :butbut: Windows 7 or Windows 8? I really do not like what MS has done with the UI and some of the aesthetics in windows 8 other than that its awesome I especially like the new task manager functions. I prefer the look of vista over windows 7 (big taskbar, combining windows and some other stuff) So what you guys think im personally leaning towards windows 7.

Current model (Arma 2 2009 to present) is working fine. Retail game 50 dollars 2-3 year development cycle year later Themed Expansion pack 40 dollars 1 year cycle Themed DLC's 10-20 dollars a piece 3-6 months cycle This is what I prefer, gives BIS good income and gives us good amount of content. After DLC's continue forward and create a heavily revise to next generation of Real Virtuality Engine And BIS could try out the Premium route, paying X amount of dollars upfront and getting the expansion and the DLC's which would be worth it IMO.

I just want some more screenshots, tech blogs and a video with Jay Crowes amazing voice in it. I NEED SOMETHING TO DAY DREAM ABOUT BIS! ;) Arma 3 can come out Q4 for all I care It would be imperative of BIS to ship the game as polished as possible so the gaming media doesn't go ape shit again and rave about bugs.

Relevant timing. I really think that BIS should include female soldiers in Arma 3.

* Visible pilot mask when utilizing jets * Audible player breathing when flying jets. * Alittle bounce when taking off a runaway in a jet similar to how Battlefield 3 does it, adds immersion. * Less twitchy flight controls (sensitivity dunno if you can change it in Arma 2) its super sensitive in Arma 2 at least for me when I bank in a jet MENU Have an upcoming events news box on the main screen. Showing upcoming beta patches, patches, Arma DLC's, BIS sales, anything related to Arma or important BIS news should be posted. Similar to what Blizzard has in Starcraft 2 that would be neat. EDITOR Vehicle names should be displayed like this in the editor, AH-64D (APACHE), MQ-22 (OSPREY), AH6-J/X (LITTLEBIRD), A10 (WARTHOG), this assures noobs will be able to find their vehicle because not everyone is a military buff. I didn't know half the vehicles in ARMA because its hard to ID them when BIS associates them as their actual names. Simple things like this will streamline the game.
