  1. 3D resolution @ 150% Tree from rather short distance looks awful: Tree up close looks decent: I think thats something similar to that they are trying to do as you can see the tree changing LOD several times when you approach it from like 100m distance.
  2. Yes they does look as bad, just not the tree his standing next too. Look at the tree at his helmet, that look bad but it's a little disguised by the blur hell from pp. His 3D res is also at 100% as you can see in the pic. But ok i'll try mess with the 3D res and report back.
  3. Well my performance in OA is not much better than in A2 and if you compare the amount of trees and bushes it's next to nothing... so making trees looking like crap hasn't accomplished much.
  4. The tree on your left looks ok, but look at the tree at your helmet it looks very low detailed. It shouldnt be that low detailed at that distance, it's way too close! I really hoped i had a problem my end but it seems like it's made to be this way :(
  5. I'm not using the exThreads parameter as i thought that was done automatically now, but i've just tried and there's no difference whatsoever. I have already set: GPU_MaxFramesAhead=1; GPU_DetectedFramesAhead=1; It looks like the trees details are constantly increasing right until your almost next to them, if thats the optimized vegitation they talked about then it's very disappointing :o
  6. Did you play ArmA 2? Did you watch the screenshots in fullscreen? Try watch the last of them in fullscreen it's not a pretty sight! Trees and bushes does not look like this in ArmA 2. You can clear see when you approach a tree that the they got low detail until your almost next to them. That did nothing but add blur to everything so you feel you got dust in your eyes.
  7. I did a quick test in Zargabad. I played with everything on high and my performance was good, but the vegitation as mentioned before look awful until you get up close, really close, then it looks better but still ugly. It looks like theres a LOD problem! I installed OA ontop of my ArmA 2 installation so maybe that screwed something up. Tomorrow i'll try to remove everything and do a clean install of OA and see if that works better.

    I'm starting to turn into a parrot but i dont care... it's looking freaking awesome :cool: They said in a previous post that it's close to a release and they will keep building on it after release.

  13. Random House Patrol script simply makes units random patrol a defined buildings positions. Like i said it's a nice script you have written there :cool:
  14. Isn't this doing more or less what Tophe's Random House Patrol script is doing? I guess your posting this because of the talk in the OA thread. The talk was about AI patrolling buildings on their own :) Nice script though :)
  15. I find the SiX Updater VERY easy to use and it gives me a good download speed.

  21. I don't think that has changed, best thing is to laugh about it :p There was a video with a civilian woman running, she looked kinda retarded aswell lol :D

    LOL good point, but it also affect the enemies shooting which would make him easier get up close.
