    What he means by 'map' i don't think is something you can do anything about, what he means (i think) is when you go to map view, the audio is localized geographically to the location you were when you opened the map. If you are in a vehicle, you'll literally hear the vehicle drive/fly off from you until you exit the map screen.

    it's a work around, a very nice work around, but truly a solution would need to come from BIS. There's only so much that jarhead can do, hopefully the new sound tech and scripts in arma3 will give him a lot to work with.

    That goes for a number of sounds, even vehicle sounds that you could hear from a distance are quiet or silent.

    anyone notice some of the chicken wire (?) fences have gaps in them? I thought they were broken parts that you can walk through but the player cannot seem to pass through them.

  9. The other plan involves a gimp suit and tennis rackets, but it's best if BI explains.
  10. They could throw a curveball and we suddenly see a yf-23 make a surprise appearance, or maybe a hybrid concept like mi-48. Unlikely but given BIS's recent pattern wanting to introduce new vehicles with real world counterparts or ideas, it'd be a neat surprise and with me not being a diehard purist, i'd find it interesting. I'm treading dangerously on wishlist territory so I'll end that topic here lol.

    I don't think the video mentions it but it looks like the guy is running one of the versions of Blastcore by Opticalsnare, biggest give away other than the debris and sparks is the vanishing smoke caused but the added particles from the mod hitting the game's particle limit, which in this video might be related to the user's video config, but i'm not all that knowledgeable on that subject, just recalling the issue from a prior post by opticalsnare.

    Well yeah the 'new' volumetric clouds have been in arma3 since the alpha afaik, pretty much the same ones in TOH. In fact there was another recent thread questioning the ability to fly over them.

    technically we've had volumetric clouds back in arma2, not sure where you've been.
  19. Honestly from what we've seen the greenfor gets the buzzard assuming the very very early screenshots of the opfor camo buzzard wasn't just a placeholder like many other things during the first announcements of the game.
  20. You haven't missed anything that I'm aware of. I tried them out the other day and they work much like how ACE had them.
