    BIS needs to make this sort of information more clear to the player. It's fine for us fans, but, for example, when it takes you a while to realise that you've been hit in the leg it can put inexperienced players off.

    Also, add a battle using all 64 entities available to you and the FPS might be lower, although this might be immaterial as even if it halved the game would run fine. What we should be asking is if the game runs so well, why don't they make use of the extra resources available to PC owners? Getting 100+ FPS in a game such as DR means they're not making the most out of the AI in a large battle, or the graphics aren't as detailed as they could be. Why not set the PC limit of AI to well over 100 if FPS is so good already? It seems, therefore, that the game runs well due to limitations and trade-offs, not inherently better design.
  9. You know how the character shifts around (even when 'still') and the sights become unaligned when you're trying to aim? Stand up straight and you can aim fine again.
  10. Sorry if it's been covered, but will parallax-free holosights be making it in at all? I'd guess not but I can hope. If not, will the crouching animation be made static?

    Illegal (I bet) but a damn good idea for demonstration purposes. Wonder how Chenaurus would run in DR... not at all, maybe.
  15. Are the tank and infantry facing away from you? Are you a special forces type (as the AI can't detect them as easily)? Also, you didn't shoot or anything, did you? Are they on "safe"? More details may help, but otherwise you can script it in by having 'player setcaptive true', then set it to false when you fire or are no longer prone, or whatever.

  17. Sounding truly excellent. Just wondered, as it stands are differing sounds for different distances possible (read:feasible)? I'm sure it's been answered but not sure what the current consensus is.

    All my thoughts have already been expressed by others; needless to say I'm not surprised but still disappointed. I won't be getting it, especially since I won't be able to try the demo for a good while to see if I like it...
  19. Anything (well, not anything) that subtly prevents Arma2 from becoming a twitch shooter is good in my opinion.
