Jungle Wars: Island of Lingor
NoRailgunner replied to icebreakr's topic in ARMA 2 & OA - ADDONS & MODS: COMPLETE
Maybe add 2-3 new teasing pictures from Lingor eg "IceBreakr on the beach", "IceBreakr in the jungle", "IceBreakr drinking with locals"... :D -
Can we safely use AI mods with SP Missions?
NoRailgunner replied to doveman's topic in ARMA 2 & OA - ADDONS & MODS: COMPLETE
Just read the readme's of addon/mods, adjust the settings how you like but don't forget that different AI setups do change something. There is no "SuperAI" addon/mod that fits everyone's taste... sometimes you will find out that playing with additonal AI tweaks/features makes it more interesting/fun than just hanging around with vanilla AI. Maybe try "ASR AI" addon and if it breaks too many missions for you - change the 'asr_ai_settings.hpp'. -
Red Hammer Campaign for use with CWR2 mod
NoRailgunner replied to Brainbug's topic in ARMA 2 & OA - USER MISSIONS
Seems that some people forget that OFP (missions/campaigns) was played on different (old) systems and with a different ingame setup. From 2001 stuff/features have changed - if you want 100% OFP nostalgia you need to play it with pc specs from 2001-2004 (2006). Otherwise you have to improvise, adopt and overcome.... -
Cold War Rearmed² - Public Beta
NoRailgunner replied to W0lle's topic in ARMA 2 & OA - ADDONS & MODS: COMPLETE
W0lle no more whipping the leash and cracking CWR2 issues? Burnout or just found something that makes you happier spending your spare/free time with or did someone threaten your life because CWR2 'doesn't have this' and 'is not compatible with that'/'should be in A3 now!!' ?? Hope that you will have much or even more fun with your next adventures and projects! Thank you for working + pushing CWR2 into A2OA!! :) -
Read those articles again and think more about of who does benefit of an "outrage". It seems more that this day was choosen on purpose by Greek teachers and others to protest. Guess some people do need some drama...
-
Source/link anyone (please not somekind of antiwestern bs from Iranian/Commie news agencies) ? Was it an legal demonstration or was it getting more into an riot phase - we all know that Greece got some of those ultra-right and -leftwing riots now and then. ;)

Why so angry about an public holiday? and Maybe try to discuss or rate how good/bad propaganda was (or still is) in a new thread? :)

Just read about Itters Castle: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Itter_Castle guess this "new story" is just to create some sort of a hype so people go to watch this new WW2 movie. Average Joe and Jill don't know much about history just what they see in TV and movies.... Less education = more profit! ;)

People did see and feel that those in power failed to run their country any longer just by pure propaganda and poor socialist economy + their system of "apparatschiks". Isn't it simply some sort of nostalgia for life under socialist system by a few people who have missed the caravan or are just stuck in time?
-
Socialism and Communism didn't work so well + nice for many - guess why all those people took the risk to demonstrate and demand a change in politics? Of course one can dream and romanticise about socialism.... and utopianism. A weak or failed EU is beneficial for US and China/Asia interests.

Photoshop and other Adobe products moving to subsription model.
NoRailgunner replied to .Taffy's topic in OFFTOPIC
Guess we will see how many people will like this new payment model - guess some do because they have now the option to pay per month/year. Adobe is the market leader and their products are standard tools in the industry and media. Like many other software companies they did have trial/demo version and had special sales/offers for students, teachers.... Think that average Joe & Jill don't really need the SuperExtented-GoldPlatinum-Edition/Suite for their creative and semi-professional job/hobby. -
How easy is it to develop, produce and deploy weapons of mass destruction? Guess US/UK had already their own experience with finding proof/evidences of WMD's - see Iraq War. Now who is going to judge it only by photos/videos and hearsay? Who is going to win the war of propaganda and misinformations??

ARMA 2: OA beta build 104648 (1.62 MP compatible build, post 1.62 release)
NoRailgunner replied to Dwarden's topic in ARMA 2 & OA - BETA PATCH TESTING
Any ideas why CBA doesn't work (now A2OA freezes in main menu) anymore with this betabuild? Tested with vanilla A2OA beta + @CBA_CO but need to kill the arma2oa process via taskmanager. -
German Assault Addons - Army
NoRailgunner replied to marseille77's topic in ARMA 2 & OA - ADDONS & MODS: COMPLETE
Those new 2025 BW soldiers need something like a upgraded Gladius system too! Don't forget the gimmicks like permanent Twitter/Facebook/Let's ZDv! stream connection.... :D -
CBA: Community Base Addons for A2, OA and CO
NoRailgunner replied to killswitch's topic in ARMA 2 & OA - ADDONS & MODS: COMPLETE
Same freezing/Ctrl-Alt-Del here, is a workaround (for this weekend) = hotfix possible? Or is it an BIS issue/bug/oversight?? :) -
Its just somekind of impatience or artificial hype which makes people pre-order something that actually needs to be done or is just "WIP"/"ALPHA" status. Guess making more PR aka teaser/trailers/interviews/devblogs/screenshots etc is a bit easier and less risky for game devs + publishers.... If people just throw their money on game pre-orders or kickstarter projects - you can't blame game devs and publishers for making money with wishful thinking/dreaming or fanboy-ism.

ARMA 2: OA beta build 104648 (1.62 MP compatible build, post 1.62 release)
NoRailgunner replied to Dwarden's topic in ARMA 2 & OA - BETA PATCH TESTING

ARMA 2: OA beta build 103718 (1.62 MP compatible build, post 1.62 release)
NoRailgunner replied to Dwarden's topic in ARMA 2 & OA - BETA PATCH TESTING
New betabuild 104648 is up! Changelog says only - who knows, maybe something else got changed/tweaked/fixed too?? -
A faster paced ArmA - Insurgency!
NoRailgunner replied to JetlinerX's topic in OFFTOPIC - Games & Gaming
Its a fast paced shooter game for all those who don't like CoD/BF franchise that much (or anymore) and maybe feel that Armaverse is somehow "too slow" and/or "too demanding" for their own gameplay liking. :) -
Invasion 1944 v2.6 (CO)
NoRailgunner replied to SFG's topic in ARMA 2 & OA - ADDONS & MODS: COMPLETE
@Guttersnipe try: shadow = high/very high (= GPU does the job), hdr = normal, PPAA = disabled you can also try to set video memory = default, viewdistance you should try much more. Try this with your graphic driver setting on default/auto setup. Run @CBA_CO only with latest betabuilds - you need those three @CBA;@CBA_A2;@CBA_OA only if you run A2OA older stable/official patch + beta's (see CBA readme/forum thread). Some I44 SP/MP missions are not updated/optimized yet maybe with I44 v2.7 the mission makers will have a look at their work once again an tweak & fix them to be "final & polished". :) -
MBG_Buildings_3 - European Theatre
NoRailgunner replied to mondkalb's topic in ARMA 2 & OA - ADDONS & MODS: COMPLETE
This building/big shed looks more like one of those quick-ported & never-got-fixed buildings/objects from A1.... -
Invasion 1944 v2.6 (CO)
NoRailgunner replied to SFG's topic in ARMA 2 & OA - ADDONS & MODS: COMPLETE
There was some talking about I44 v2.70 for CO. IIRC at the end of an alpha release there is a feature freeze so rushing out to port mod/addon XY just for ALPHA release (and impatient kiddos) is kinda meh, imo. -
This trade sounds fishy.... just look at the offers/deals for a legit copy of AC3 (no risk of fraud/scam or "wrong" serial/key + some third party "AC3 download manager"). Help yourself and earn some money to buy the real deal - you don't have to buy the expensive A3 developers edition the normal A3 edition will do it too. Until Q3/2013 A3 will be work-in-progress aka ALPHA/BETA/RC anyway.... :)

SimCity announced, 2013 release.
NoRailgunner replied to .Taffy's topic in OFFTOPIC - Games & Gaming
As long as people do buy and "like" such games publishers aren't going to change their plans. Blame those who 'OMG - can't wait!!!' and hype games just because of the shiny screens/trailers aka marketing/PR. Kinda like claiming that any reincarnation of an successful title/series will be automatically great/superior or even an instant-bestseller (AAA title) ...
