Can we edit the debrief screen to show some kind of AAR? at its simplest, i just want to know how many rounds my squad (group) have spent and how many enemy is killed (by own group or in the mission) about enemy killed, i got the idea to credit all AI kills to player kills. that way we can know how many kills your group have inflicted.. now what function is involve in that?

    ahh.. i thought it means "wing turret and laser designation -> status FIXED". wondering what is wing turret? never would have imagined it means "fixed-wing aircraft" with turrets in it. lol...

    I agree... a book is a book. you can publish it hard cover or paperback cover. or print it in next-gen paper(whatever that is) but the content is, depends on the reader (and the writer) just like games... though i agree that BF:BC look so pretty... too bad its console only But i dislike the attitude 'Nice cover, must be a bad book' (aka 'Nice gfx, must be a bad game' on beforehand (I will give a ot example. Just dl'd the 360 demo of Burnout:Paradise, not into racers myself but think it looks fab and plays fab ... mij son (4 yr) played it already for hours. What did he do ... just driving around ... nice gfx, nice physics can be entertaining even without a 'game' because it 'works', it relates to 'reality' in a natural manner. I was surprised but he seems to prefer visuals/physics of B:P over Wii stuff when racing, and at that age he doesn't have any 'opinion' he acts just natural:) good point there maxgubit... dont judge the book by its cover tracers point both ways

    oh dear mr placebo.. just because u lived in singapore, i wouldn't invade them just to get u... so that i could trade u with BIS for free ARMA 2 copy  so did anyone played it? i played without any mods and its kinda too easy... played it with true range mod, then its kinda too hard... i'll try making up another mission... this is one is so simple and straight forward. though it can be chalenging, if played with true range AI mod. maybe a RACS mission next time... hm... advance to contact perhaps. 3 squads clearing a road towards the objective, then a final assault. seems straigth forward enuff for me

    i've been fidling again... now to simulate battle drill. let say a squad moving in column formation, when under attack, they will change formation to line. only problem is, its only suitable when they are heading towards each other, if 2 squads met at an angle, then it seems pointless. maybe i'll try with setFormDir i think im hijacking the thread.. sorry second. your script is awesome

    Great patch... NS no longer an FPS Hog.. hehe. now, i noticed new death anim thrown in there? or am i seeing things? like run-stumble-dead kind animation. not like ofp though, ofp one was better. i think

    with 1.09 patch, i think the grass are not there anymore... there still forest shrubbery here and there, but the grass are no longer there.. probably the way the 109 change the default grass, and the grass in gardinas just disappeared. can anyone confirm this?

    thanks for the link shins.. though its ESA protected, so cannot download. on topic: i think the point of the OP is not to hold the W key when moving. not necessarily run(sprint). since this game sometimes require a lot of moving around in a long period of time (sometimes no contact) so i think it does need this feature. yeah i just wish i could just press W once and my avatar would just go forward indefinitely. until i press S to stop. a toggle would be nice. because in combat, the current one is more convenient to use.

    i think it would be a good feature. still remember the old game by EA, SEAL Team. it was open. free roaming. just like ARMA/OFP. and its movement was great. press arrow key up once, u walk. press again, and u run. just like what u do as commander of a vehicle in arma/ofp. it was good because stealth was the essence it all those missions. so u dont want to tire your fingers just to keep your avatar moving... and keep your fingers free to do other task like giving orders(picking your nose included ) damn.. gave me back the nostalgia. it was a really good game imho. still got the manual, though not the disk

    i fiddle around with 2nd's script and change a line in suppression_result.sqs where when the group in CAUTIOS suppression level, their behaviour would be set to "stealth" and i change it to combat. work nicely for me.. especially in an assault. you dont want the soldiers to stop assaulting just because bullets start to fly around. so this way, the assault team will continue moving forward under fire... when the suppression level reach pinned down, then its okay to stop moving and start seeking cover. just my personal preferences

    i also have to add that the new supersonic crack is not my cup of tea. feels too weak. the older one was better i think. but i like fromz's sp crack better. maybe i'll just edit them. though probably have problems with multiplayer because it is signed...

  24. sometimes its just the way you said it... and you to being defensive and sarcastic like that doesnt help. fasad's way of saying was much more simpler and direct. easily understood. the way you said from first post was more like dont do this.. do this instead kind of thing. rocko had a point. modmaker made their mod to please themselves first, then the community second. and yes, a generic model/texture not representing any country is good. that way you slap any countries camo/flag by yourselves. if you dont know how to do it yourself, you can ask, or learn it. or wait for someone else to do it. i for one is too lazy to learn 3d modelling. so i just retexture. when i see an addon that could fit my country's army, i just retexture them for personal use. if i decided to release it, then permission will be requested.

    @miles teg... since malaysia dont have any traditional enemy what so ever... so i just keep it to historical facts that the only enemy they faced was communist terrorist in the late 60s - mid 70s i think. historically, when us pull out from vietnam and domino theory, there was a doctrine devised to counter that threat. the imaginary enemy is called LANUN (pirates)and the country is LANUNLAND (pirate land?). so immediate threat at that time was from communist... now, i have no idea. btw its 'terima kasih' (thank you). 'kasi' is a verb for cutting your little brother (johny) practiced in ancient china in the palace court, so they wont make it out with the emperor's concubineSSS. hehe. enuff of topics back on topic.. right now i have no future plans... been practicing making mission. ended up making mission that i just love to watch it going. i love arma for that. only a few times i actually play it... so making a mission to play is something i cant quite get a grip on
