Hey gents, as Arma3 is now fully released, i unfortunatly must buy a new Mainboard and CPU. For now i am running a nice MSI Mainboard (870A-G54 AM3 Socket) with an AMD Phenom 1090T 3,2Ghz x6 Cores Black Edition CPU (overclocked @3,8 GHZ) together with a GTX670/2GB graphic card, 8GB of RAM and a SSD for the Arma and a seperate one for Windows. Even i think i have a quite nice system, I am getting like 15-25 fps on nice multiplayer games, where my mates with INTEL CPUs and worse graphic cards, less Ram, no SSD, get like 40 fps with similar settings. I tryed everything on LOW and everything on Ultra, the FPS change is about 1-2 fps, thats it. I tryed to add several attributes like (-cpuCount=6 -high -maxMem=6144) and so on. Nothing will increase my fps. Sooooo, as Arma doesnt support AMD, or AMD doesnt support Arma (i can play all other games perfect) i need to buy a nice new INTEL CPU + Mainboard. I want the best, affordable thingies i can get. I am goin to waste like 400€ for this 2 components. Anyone can tell me where i can find some nice benchmark thingies, or can just give me some information /experience points - What i should buy? Thanks in advance :)

Soo, reopening this thread a bit :) After long research i somehow think the i7 4770k for around 300€ is the better choice for ArmA3. For now im in favor of buying following new: - i7 4770k 300€ - Asrock Z87 Extreme 4 110€ - Corsair Hydro Series H100i watercooling 100€ to my consisting: nvidia GTX 670 2GB 8GB 1600mhz RAM Only thoughts i still have about the haswell thingy, they say its getting way hotter then i5 thingies. But i want to get the absolut best FPS for ArmA3 at a still quite affordable price. Sooo as i still somehow also consider the i5 3570k also and overclock it to hell, i wonder from which thingy i would be able to get more MHZ and therefor more FPS for ArmA out? the 100€ more for the 4770k doesnt bother me much if i gain at least a little bit more fps out of it.

Not just AI, also humans. Same actually since ages, when in MP sometimes when u get a copilot in, he bugs out on the rotor from pilots view and destroys the rotor. not always but often.

Ho Lee fuk. With this System there would be no need to sink Buildings into the ground anymore :D -
Weaponrest, get it in even if AI cant use it
krazikilla replied to krazikilla's topic in ARMA 3 - GENERAL
Hah- Was faster :P Anyway, nice you got it. Now i just hope BIS gets it :D -

Your brain? For you and slow: Give us weaponrest even AI cannot use it? A: YES B: NO -

Both :D -
Will the fatigue change make it into the next stable branch update?

Just curious if you feel the same but since 2 patches, long range sniping nearly got impossible for me. The weapon sway during aiming is just ridiculously high and jumpy. Try it out: - get a lynx and a nice SOS scope - lie down, be totally relaxed - aim at a atatic long range target (around 2km) *EDIT* OKOK SORRY, try 1.5 KM its enough. - right mouse to hold breath - have fun hitting it Even if you hold right mouse button, which should actualy decrease the sway for a few seconds (holding breath) its just still totally jumpy. I am not talkin here about the normal sway, which always was fine, but something big changed here. For me its especially sad, because since the latest patch my fps went down to around 20, nvm what i change in config. So the only thing i can actually do is sniping, or driving vehicles. Ye, but even i love sniping in this series since operation flashpoint, arma, arma2, arma3 (until the 2nd last patch), looks like i suddenly cannot do it anymore.

Sniping impossible since the 2nd last patch?
krazikilla replied to krazikilla's topic in ARMA 3 - GENERAL
Ok i give up :) Maybe Progamer can state it more clear then i am capable of. Have fun doing whatever you want in this already (for me) solved thread. Actually, i did. -
Sniping impossible since the 2nd last patch?
krazikilla replied to krazikilla's topic in ARMA 3 - GENERAL
Yes, sniping should be harder. But it should be harder with realistic featuers, like wind (direction and strenght), air density, earth rotation and elevation, but NOT by unrealistic high and bugged weaponsway. As i said (and now the ability to read comes handy again): try aiming at a HUGE radar dome 600 meters away, center ur zoomed aimcross in the middle of it and watch the sway goin high up in the air, coming back somehow, stuttering and what not. This neither realistic nor wanted and BIS already fixed it within the new fatigue system (which is currently not avaliable, also not on DEV-Branch). What is so hard to understand about this? :( -

krazikilla replied to krazikilla's topic in ARMA 3 - GENERAL
If you would at least be able to read the TOPIC! or just parts of the 1st post (the 1st line would be enough), then you would clearly see that i wrote "2nd last patch" - means it was a patch where the new fatigue system was not even born in dev-branch yet. Reading? Anyone?? -

IF this bold line is not so easy to understand for some, i feel very sorry. was actually my 2nd post. Over and out. -
Sniping impossible since the 2nd last patch?
krazikilla replied to krazikilla's topic in ARMA 3 - GENERAL
Someoene please close this threat as its already solved. It was obvious a bug or some accident and is fixed when the new stamina system is included. Not interested in answering to some people who cannot even read a few posts but just want to annoy with some useless trolling. -
Sniping impossible since the 2nd last patch?
krazikilla replied to krazikilla's topic in ARMA 3 - GENERAL
Does actually anyone even a BIT read the posts in here before replying some total useless stuff? OK to make it clear: AIM AT A RADAR DOME, from 600 meters, with a lynx and a SOS Scope. Center your aim in the middle of the dome and then dont touch ur mouse anymore. You can see, even on this range, that the view is raising up in the air ridiculously high, without any proper reason. And anyway, this issue, as progamer said, already got fixed with the new stamina system. So stop defending bugs, omg xD -

Perfect, thanks. Knew it must have been a bug or some unwanted thing. No idea why some people still defend this total mess and call it realism xD -
Sniping impossible since the 2nd last patch?
krazikilla replied to krazikilla's topic in ARMA 3 - GENERAL
You ever tryed it? Try it out and see how natural the sway feels..NOT. sway is good and fine and i am ALL for realism, but for sure a real sway isnt jumpy nor stuttering. Now try it out before u post again. And as i already stated before its not only on this long range! just u see it better there. Why u even reply if u dont read the posts?? -

krazikilla replied to krazikilla's topic in ARMA 3 - GENERAL
Ok you got me wrong, its also a totally strange weapon sway on not so long range shooting. Just on long range you can see it far better. Its not just the normal weapon sway which should be quite fluid actually, but it is jumpy and stuttering. I am pretty sure that this is a bug actually. can somone confirm that? For me and 2 mates its actually the same. -
First of all, i like this game series since 2001 operation flashpoint and for me its still the best game out there. I am just wondering, when i see the daily Dev-Changelog that there is a lot of polishing going on, and a lot of small things are gettin fixed and tweaked BUT, the actual feedbacktracker is, as far as it seems, totally out of focus. If you look at the 10-20 highest rated featuers in the feedbacktracker, a lot of them, one might think, needed core-features, in a game like arma in 2013 are not touched for some reason. Everyday i check the dev-changelog and hope to see some nice, game experience improving, things finally getting implemented, but nope, mostly just other small stuff getting tweaked. Whenever someone criticises this, ppl say, all this polishing and minor stuff adding, doesnt take away workpower from the engine developers - but on the other hand, what are they doing then? What is the policy of BIS here? I think there are either 2 possibilities: - Either they want to bugfix the game as it is to 99% of bugs and just add minor new things. They might add some important stuff much later, to never and let even actually very much wanted core featuers beeing added only by addons. - They dont have any/enough core-engine programmers who are able to actually add some nice things from feedbacktracker. In my experience as Project leader of international big IT Projects we do it mostly the other way around: We first implement the core featuers of new Systems and later polish it or ofcourse, if engouh human ressoruces are avaliable, we do both at once. Thats why i dont really understand what is happening here. What you think about this hole thing?

Priority of Bugfixing and features of BIS
krazikilla replied to krazikilla's topic in ARMA 3 - GENERAL
Sooo, days passed, new Updates, new SITREP and still: No word about any of the highly requested features from the feedbacktracker. Instead we get new vehicles, and a lot of other nice fixes, which most of them, around 90% of the players dont even realize. For me, after the update the only things i really realized, was less fps for some reason. But that just counts for me. Anyway, i think we can clearly see that the artists and 3d modellers are doing a good job and we can see lot of fixes in that area, every day. Its for sure also nice that the "wrong direction of rain particles" and the T100 geometry got polished - BUT what are the engine coders doing? Are they really all working for dayZ or tweaking fatigue (which is more scripting/customizing i believe)? Please BIS (especially Arma - Project Lead), listen to the community and check out the feedbacktracker a bit. Or, at least, tell us a little bit what the schedule is.., if we can await any new featuers in vanilla game, or if u just focus on easing the way for addons. -
Day Z Announced as standalone title.
krazikilla replied to Placebo's topic in BOHEMIA INTERACTIVE - GENERAL
I still think that making dayZ on Arma2 base was the worst desicion BIS did, ever. Hope for BIS, that it still sells as good as the dayZ mod itself was liked and hyped - before some good, free mod for ArmA3 comes out. -
Priority of Bugfixing and features of BIS
krazikilla replied to krazikilla's topic in ARMA 3 - GENERAL
I actually somehow feel that BIS is loosing the contact and the feeling for the community more and more, in some aspects. I know quite some dudes, also longstanding arma fans, who already stopped playing and left the communitie because of this issues. This thingies like: "wait a bit until they fixed other, more important stuff", i was willing to believe and even said it to other guys over the last 5 years and even more years ago, but somehow i stop believing it myself. And if u check the forums a bit, also lot of other, also long standing members are kind of losing patience and getting a bit frustrated. Somehow there is always other stuff which needs to be done before the communities long standing wishes are heared, worked on, or even seriously commented. (again: big exeption is graphics/physix) No idea what, but i feel that some thing is wrong. (maybe internal mgmt or policy stuff. Also Dwarden is quite quiet since several weeks.) This.
