You're right about some wonderful games that haven't been played ... I'm in the same boat. I take a break from the armaverse now and again .... but the bugger ALWAYS drags me back again! Don't be a stranger for too long mate! We'll miss you! PS I have a Rift + Touch too .... handle is still the same 'Kremator'.

Yes it is run on the client. AFAIK it doesn't interfere with ACE3. It is THE best AI controller in the armaverse! -
Just stopped my dedi server after running it for 11 hours as half AI leaders had stopped moving (this is the Malden version).

I'm afraid there is a lot of low level BIS stuff that we cannot access. The AI are really quite dumb in lots of situations - don't get me started on driving ! -
I'll keep testing myself mate. Could just be one of those things, but the fact that it said CTI_XXXX made me think it was BECTI related. LOL .. good luck with the DIY ! EDIT: I've found that some AI have real difficulty in disembarking vehicles that cannot move (wheels wrecked or stuck on scenery etc) .... there needs to be a 'not able to move' check in there, that then causes units to go on foot.

There is no base respawn. If you die without a defib ... you restart (BUT your base will still be there - you just have to find it again!). With a defib you will respawn where you dropped (sometimes a good idea to wait a minute or so for enemies around you to despawn!)- 377 replies

A nice feature - but they shouldn't be able to it IF you are in the vehicle (or if you lock it) My main problem was 3 AI groups not moving from a disabled (or certainly not moving on a steep slope!) vehicle, effectively taking them out of the battle instead of transporting them into the battle! -

Gonna test this myself (using C2 by mad_cheese) EDIT: Something really wierd is happening .... I got into an armed Hunter and drove off to the AO. On getting there a couple of friendly guys got in (as gunner and passenger - very nice!) HOWEVER when I got out as driver it teleported me to where they first got in (about 500m back!) Can someone confirm? EDIT: it looks like they are obsessed with vehicles now ... I've got a combat medic running around my hunter trying to get in - cheeky sod ! They are also commandeering vehicles but not moving (can the vehicles actually move?) FURTHER EDIT: They do love their use of static weapons - however it is VERY difficult to get teams to get back our again (when you give them a move order) - playing BECTI here BTW -
Nuke isn't necessary at all.

Hmmm potential bad news however. I came back to my server after it running for 8 hours on becti (above) and all but 2 AI leaders were stationary .. all lying prone. Investigating further. -

I running becti with mod version of Vcom and I'm not seeing any real loss of fps on my dedi server. Well done! -
I think I've just got a year on you (old gamers eh ?) Every time I play that WIP version on my dedi they stop everytime first town is capped ... however the ferocity of the battle up to that point is awesome. Just need to push the AI commander onto the next town!

I like the cut of your jib mate :) EDIT Just tried the WIP version and it still halts on first town capture :( going to turn off Peacetime option (not sure why it would be default on - if it causes this bug)

This would be VERY welcome .... even better would be (and I remember seeing this in an Arma or Arma2 addon) a visual ON the main display of where you would be loitering. I think Mandoble had a brilliant way of setting a loiter by clicking on the map ... then the aircraft adjusted it's flight until it hit the loiter circle ... then joined the circle. -
Guys & at DEVs ... is this a regression? Spawn a HEMTT (or any other road vehicle) place a waypoint DIRECTLY behind the vehicle (up to around 100m) and try to get it to move..... it won't. Now put the waypoint further than100m directly behind the vehicle and it will move. I cannot remember AI driving being this bad that they couldn't plot a path directly behind them ... is THIS the reason that they are shocking drivers ?

Prolly a script called by Voice Attack that simulates a keypress. Sounds funky.
