Arma Server Monitor for Linux
killswitch replied to killswitch's topic in ARMA 3 - COMMUNITY MADE UTILITIES
New version, 0.3, where the extension prints more logging in the Arma server log output. This way, admins can verify that the extension is loaded OK when a mission starts. Example log output (in the "RPT" output aka stdout/stderr output of the arma server executable): 2015/05/09, 9:08:08 "ASM.fsm started" asmdll: reading settings from ./asm.ini asmdll: extension loaded asmdll: init successful, pid 20012, using slot 0 Download links in the first post. -

Yes - "asm1" is the child handler process for the first client connecting (ie your ArmaServerMonitor.exe that is connected to the server You need to start a mission for the values to appear. -

That is expected - that's the same version you reported having the issue in post #326: The invisible animals fix will be in the next release (RC7?). -

Remember to first start "asm" in server mode, before you launch the A3 server. Very briefly: 1. Start the ASM service ("asm -s") 2. Start the Arma 3 server 3. When a mission is started on the A3 server, the A3 server's log output should say "ASM.fsm started" 4. Connect to the Asm service from your client and the stats should show up. -

Thanks for the report, AZCoder. Issue has been found and fixed for the next release: FIA "Kerry" and "Miller" characters get randomized outfits, but their NATO variants don't -

Yep, I was able to reproduce and fix the invisible random animals issue. Thanks for the report!(A "latest stable without hotfixes" CBA does not exist. CBA is in development. The latest CBA is RC6 hotfix. The earlier versions were RC6 and RC4 before that) Steam Workshop: it is being considered. Stay tuned. -

Servers not starting? It's not specifically CBA A3 RC6 hotfix that causes this. It has been observed with certain sets of .bikey files in the Keys folder that the server stops just before the "Connected to Steam servers" log message normally appears. See here: 0022133: Some .bikey file combinations prevent dedicated server from loading The previous release, RC6, had a .bikey file named "cba_a3_rc6" whereas the hotfix one has a name that is 7 characters longer; "cba_a3_rc6_hotfix" and it might be the change in name length that triggers the error in the case where server operators changed nothing in their Keys folders except the CBA .bikey file. -

Under Configure->Controls, there is a button named "CONFIGURE ADDONS". It hasn't. CBA doesn't change the fonts in Arma. A few pages back in this thread, someone found an addon that caused this. See above. Hope that helps -

Had a look at that, and it does indeed work in RC4. However, that XEH init EH and the EIH.sqf should not work at all, normally (which is the case in RC6).For some reason, (bug in RC4?) the XEH init EH can make successful use of a variable "_obj" when calling the EIH.sqf script. That variable should not be present in an init EH. RC6 fixes that. Summary: the extended Init event handler, as defined in that repro mission should not work, and it doesn't, in RC6. Issue 76194 shows a variant that does work, both in RC4 and RC6. @KeyCat and others: we are aware of the Right-CTRL/Right-Shift issue. -

This is eluding me too, only firing on Civilian units now.Unable to reproduce, need more information and specific reproduction steps, filed as a new issue at the CBA A3 issue tracker.I tested with a blufor rifleman (B_Soldier_F) and was able to give that unit both an extended init and a fired event handler through the mission's description.ext file, and they both worked. -

Scroll up to message #276 above, then look at the warnings and notes in the first post of this thread. In summary: due to recent changes that had to be made to the key binding system in CBA, addon makers need to update their addons in order for them to show up in Configure>Controls>Configure Addons again. -

See post 209 in this thread for the solution. -
The reason you can't change your key binds for TFAR when the game is just started and you are at the main menu is that TFAR waits until a mission is started before the key binding system is initialized. @nkey and TFAR : you may want to look into moving up the keybinding initialization (#include "keys.sqf" and all the CBA_fnc_addKeybind calls) in task_force_radio\functions\fn_ClientInit.sqf to a point just before the first "waitUntil" line, ie just after the disableSerialization call. That way, the key binds can be seen and edited from the main menu when the game has been started - the TFAR entries will be visible under Configure->Controls->Configure addons. Right now, however, with 0.9.7.1, you need to start a mission (or preview an editor mission) to access the key settings. EDIT: I have tried this and verified that it works - the TFAR settings can be seen and edited directly when the game is started.

The RPT errors suggests that the RscDisplayMain control config has been overwritten. If you launch only A3 and CBA_A3, you will notice how these errors do not appear. The solution most likely lies in how you define/declare/inherit the UI classes for your addon. Can you get the dialogs working if you put them in a mission instead of in addon? Also, just use stock Arma when you do this - no extra addons loaded at all. That might be a good first step in troubleshooting this. (I suspect the "baseclasses/parentclasses" you have in your .hpp file does naughty things to UI classes that already exist in the game) -

Yep, the dedi tries to read the squad picture file from the server's working directory instead of fetching it from the web server where the squad.xml is.Then, an error message similar to the following is logged in the server's log file (eg log.2302.txt): Can't find real path "mysquad.paa": "No such file or directory" 2015/04/11, 12:00:22 error: Invalid file extension "mysquad.paa". -
