  1. @Valken In GM we tried to achieve a degamified experience when it comes to ammo ballistics and damage. We based all of the behavior on real-world performance, with the main focus being the penetration capability and velocity at a specific distance (this is what we can configure). For large caliber weapons (cal .50 +) we used the RHA penetration capability while for smaller caliber weapons we used whatever was available (usually wood panels, concrete, or ballistic gel penetration capabilities). We are using the vanilla penetrability values for these materials to ensure compatibility with Vanilla structures/assets. In addition to that, the velocity at the chosen penetration distance (and the muzzle velocity) is used to calculate the air friction of the individual projectiles. Due to the nature of how the ballistic system works, the values might not be 100% precise at distances closer or further away from the chosen reference distance, but overall it is fairly close. From these values, we can easily extract a "hit" value.

GM has multiple 7.62 rounds implemented not just a single one, all of these rounds are performing the way they are supposed to perform in reality, and able to penetrate the amount of steel/concrete they are supposed to penetrate in Arma. Arma3s 7.62 ammo has been massively nerfed and does not behave the way it is supposed to behave. In arma itself, this doesn't matter all that much as it is not the primary ammunition used by the majority of the weapons. In GM we need to make sure that the 7.62 rounds we have perform as close to reality as possible as it is the primary ammunition for the Western weapons used in the DLC. (if you get hit in the head by a 7.62 round, helmet or not you do not just walk away from that)

As for your questions and comments. - At first there wont be the ERA version of the T55 (T-55 AMV) as it was not used by east germany, if at some point we will introduce the AMV is unknown at this point. - Yes new assets will role over into the GMX addons (Takistan and AAF, potentialy mroe in the future) - We are unfortunatly limited by the possibilites the engine gives us at this point as we dont have engine support available, we do however have some ideas floating arround of how the night fighting capailities could be improved in a satisfying way.

  19. yes we are planning to expand GM, if that is going to be done through patching "Cold War Germany", additional DLCs, Free addons or a combination of the three is still no known at this point. But rest assured we are not done with GM just yet.
