    Since there seem to be persistent CBA-related problems with the mid/long-range scopes (PIP not displaying, reticles only appearing after zooming in), my proposition would be to bring the old 2D scopes back but keep the CBA scopes included. That way you would have to scopes of each type, for example “Vortex Razor HD GenII/Geissele” and “Vortex Razor HD GenII/Geissele [CBA]”. The first one would be a normal 2D scope and the second one would be 2D or PIP depending on your CBA-settings with continuous zoom and switching between illuminated and non-illuminated reticles. What do you think?

    Probably not. The 3D scope system doesn't work well with long scopes, the Elcan 6x was already close to the limit.

    Thanks! Right now I have no plans for bolt-action sniper rifles and I must admit, I really lack knowledge in this area. Do you now what is in use at the moment? That would be an easy fix. I asked around a bit and @roberthammer mentioned that the 2 dot reticle is probably used with magnifiers in SOCOM units (what would make sense). So, I could change the reticle on the non-magnified EXPS-3 to one dot and leave the rest as it is or change all to one dot. Haven't both isn't really an option since I would have to duplicate all the EXPS-3 models and that would add 340MB to an already overly large weapon pack. Any thoughts?     The Nightforce ATACR 1-8 is already included. The model Toadie used was made by Cody from ParallaxGameStudios, so I could purchase it on CGTrader. Speaking of optics... Today I have spent adapting CBA scripted scope system to the long-range scopes. It works quite well.     Thanks, I'll look into that. The markings will be fixed but I cannot reproduce your problem with the Elcan. In the new config, the Tier1_Elcan_156_C1_FDE doesn't have a OpticsModes "CX5455" anymore, it is now "CX5455_1x" and "CX5455_6x" because it is a 3D scope now. I don't know why ArmA is trying to address that optic mode. All Elcan scopes work fine for me.

    The new version 1.2 is being uploaded to the workshop right now and in the end, it turned out to be bigger than I initially planned: Thanks to two very nice models created by Artistwall07, there are new HK416 versions for the DEVGRU enthusiasts out there. Because the Remington handguard is a tad old school, I decided to add more contemporary versions with the Midwest Industries MR556 Handguard (9inch and 13.5inch) and the Mission First Tactical Battlelink Minimalist Stock (seen here in the wild). The MTF stock was also added to all the other HK416 rail variants (besides the old quadrail). If rumors are to be believed, Delta Force is moving on from the HK416 platform to the SR-16 made by KAC. Enough reason for me to include these in the new update. They come in the Carbine and CQB configurations with various stocks and accessories like the KAC 5.56 QDC and QDC /CQB suppressors. Since I already had the URX4 handguards for the SR-16s, I went ahead and put in the M110k5 DMR, both in a 7.62mm and a 6.5mm version. Thanks to a Black Friday sale I could purchase a SIG Sauer P320 model quite inexpensively, so that is included too. DEVGRU has been known to use them lately. Two new optics made their way into the update, warden_1’s great Vortex Razor HD Gen III and the Eotech 553 done by madmax1539. The latter is a bit old school but was used by Rangers, Army SF and MARSOC up to the mid-2010s. Since I am on the topic of optics, all the magnifiers are now properly set up as 3D scopes, which is a big improvement in my view. The Elcan 6x is now also available as a 3D scope, but since I am a noob regarding 3D scopes and/or some model limitations, it is not perfect. I left the 2D version in for everyone, that liked this one better. A lot of small bugs were fixed, I hope I haven’t overlooked anything. Thankfully, there was a lot of constructive feedback.     Alright guys, here’s the release of version 1.1. Most of the things were already shown, but I also added two handguns as a little surprise: a Glock 19 and a Glock 22.     A small last status update: All the new stuff is finished, now only some small config work and testing is to be done. Expect a release within the next days. As for the sounds, the polls decided people wanted RHS sounds and Toadie’s silenced sounds. So, this will also come in the next update. But I will be leaving the old sounds in the pbo and the config, so making a config reverting the sounds should be super easy. At the moment I have no plans to do that, but if anyone else wants to do it, I would be willing help out with my limited config knowledge.

  17. After teasing people with promo shots in the combat photography thread for quite some time, I decided to open a separate thread for my upcoming AAF add-on. The idea behind this was to have a AAF faction for contemporary missions on Altis and Stratis using RHS assets and having only the RHS mods as a dependency.     I have an M3X model made by Lennard, but I think that would be something for a legacy pack of some sort (Mk18 Mod 0, Block I M4, Mk14 Mod 0). LA-5Bs alone will be available. No, I have no plans for UGLs at the moment as they see very little use in SOCOM. I haven't seen one picture of tier one unit operators with an UGL in at least a decade and the other SOCOM units use M4 Block IIs and Mk18s, both of which have UGL variants already in RHS. Are they already in use? Anyway, I would need to find a good affordable model. There will be LA5-Bs that will work on all weapons like RHS AN/PEQ-15s. They just won't have flashlights, fancy switches or cables.

    A small progress report: The attachments for the SCARs, M4 Block IIs, Mk18s, M249s and MP7s are done. I think I’ll leave it at that. Normal M4 are not really in SOCOM-use anymore. Maybe in a later update... The model files are quite big, and I don’t want to increase the file size too much. ... and a MP7 for @Hythloday_: I've also added a grip/bipod combo for the M110s, so I could reduce the number of weapon models. Don’t worry, all the classnames are still there (just hidden). Next step will be adding HK416s with Remington handguards. Regarding the sounds: You can still vote on the workshop page if I should change them or not.

  24. Hey there, I have a quick question regarding the magazine proxy system regarding handguns. Everything works fine until the weapon is holstered on a vest, then the magazine does not show. I have looked at the vanilla pistols and saw that they do not use mag proxies, same for the ones in RHS. So, now my question: Did I forget something or is the system not designed for handguns and mag proxies generally do not show up on holstered weapons?
