I'm a little confused. You say you've played Arma & Arma 2. Other than the campaign there has never been a lot of single player missions. You've always had to download user content to play the games. I'm disappointed that the campaign hasn't been released, but instead I'm doing what I've done for OFP, Arma, & Arma 2 and that's downloading user missions.

CiA Petition Letter to BIS and DnA's Response
dayglow replied to Variable's topic in ARMA 3 - GENERAL
I think the devs are reluctant to post any plans because ideas become promises and we will go through the same cycle all over again. -
Don't know if you regress the version, but to prevent it from happening in the future in Steam right click on Arma3 and go to properties. I'm away from my computer, but I believe one of the tabs has the option to keep the game up to date. Deselect that option so the game won't update automatically.

You are right, it really lags compared to the other games out there that render the same view distance and have the same map size.

Disapointed with the FULL RELEASE content (re-made)

Maybe the relationship between the west and Iran got better before falling out in 2035? If there was war between Iran and the US I the 80's there would have been a lot of 'copy and paste' going on :D -

Yes and I can express my opinion on his statement. -

See I just don't understand this attitude. I understand you won't want to spend your own time to create mods for A3 since you don't enjoy it, but if someone comes along and asks permission to convert your content over with full credit to you, what is the harm in that? It seems to be pure spite. You seem to feel the need to 'punish' BI and anyone that would wish to use your content. What do you gain from this? Part if creating content is that you enjoy others using what you create. Why not let them enjoy it in A3 even if you don't? -

FYI a quick google search show most rifle mounted scopes have a 640x480 or 800x600 display size. -
And co-op I find since the OFP days the #1 cause if most people's complaints of optimization is a huge view distance.

Well shit, strange I'm getting 30-40 fps on mid-high settings with 3 monitors and a resolution if 5760x1080.

does it effect all AI the same way or can you have different levels for friendly and enemy AI?
-
What is your view distance set to?

MP only right now?

RAMDisk size with 8GB of RAM

Arma3 hopefully will take less space. I have it on my game SSD, but have all my mods and missions in my File Library on a different drive. -
Completely agree when I compare it to the other modern engines of similar map size, custumizability, and mp player numbers.

Really? I remember Arma ran better than OFP on my system when it was released, Arma II ran better than Arma and now comparing Arma III runs better than Arma II for me. Combined with the smoother movement and more control over stance Arma III is miles ahead for me in performance.

Every mature gaming engine out there is an evolution of previous builds. What's your point?

2 year old development screenshots do not represent the final game. That's the standard disclaimer with very Dev video and screenshot regardless of the game. POI can't find anywhere in its Steam page or official website advertising anything that isn't included in the release. -

So interesting fact. For some reason if you enable and disable mods through the expansion menu, when you disable the mod it still is running for some reason. I had to physically delete the optics module to have it stop running.
