You should be grateful you get this much response. Just look at the forums for AAA titles, devs rarely if ever post in threads and issues are never addressed or fixed, support for games is dropped after a few months post-release. Sometimes I think BiS would be better off ignoring the "fanbase" as well, because you guys sure take them for granted.

Look, I'm glad you recently discovered this series, but please don't expect it to turn into something it isn't. The OFP/ArmA series is different from other games, that is the point. Turning it into another mainstream shooter, sponsored by energy drinks, would ruin it. Why do you want every game to be exactly the same homogenized crap, with all the "cool" tacked on gimmicks?

This might be quite hard to tackle. I guess the best option is to cover it up with effects, but even then, funny things might happen. Like a jet crashes into a hill side, there's a big explosion with debris, but you can see the wreckage rolling down. -
A silencer would be more useful in this mission. I know the player is supposed to raise hell, but the explosions should do the trick. You could detach the silencer and take some potshots for effect, once you cleared an objective.

The new driver indeed improved performance a little. White, stop trolling please, go back playing whatever games you like to play and let go of ArmA 3 if it's such a disappointment. -

I'm glad the graphics look nothing like those first promo screenshots, which had this weird, blurry, green filter effect. The reason why ArmA3 looks great is because the lighting and effects actually look natural. The sun doesn't light up the whole sky, like it's a perpetually exploding a-bomb, surfaces do not radiate with eye scorching bloom and objects just 20 meters from you aren't clouded in DOF mist. The middle distance terrain textures, vegetation and shadows could be better indeed, otherwise the game looks absolutely splendid. Just look at the ArmA3 photography thread, the majority of screenshots that weren't butchered in photoshop look so good, sometimes it's hard to believe they aren't real photographs. ---------- Post added at 15:08 ---------- Previous post was at 15:02 ---------- You seriously think that blur and the green filter is realistic? Go outside sometimes, or maybe you are a dichromat. -
Wow, virtual reality? it's like the early 90s all over again. This is like, the next best thing right after 3D, totally radical! Are there any more failed gimmicks from the past we can futilely revive?

True. Anyway I've found some gameplay footage, imho it's not very impressive. There's some gunplay at around 2:45. Surprise, surprise, it lags and stutters despite running on the Cryengine. -

That's good to hear but I still see admins complaining about these 'vehicles' ruining framerate and jsrs clogging up rpt files. The sad part is, they are reluctant to report issues and send rpts for you, they just disable the mod because it's too much of a hassle for them. This just happened in my coop community, we were using 1.4.3.

Hey, Jarhead, I really like your mod. Unfortunately most servers do not use it because apparently it creates some kind of "object" or "entity" for every single sound on the map. This causes the server to lag and decrease performance for all players. Are you going to fix this?

I will never understand how people can get mad at something as trivial and meaningless as a font. Some of them even go as far as thinking they are superior just because they passionately hate a font. Don't they have bigger problems than that? Are they hating it just because everyone else does it and it's cool? Are they trying to earn some kind of geekcred? I'm sorry for offtopic, I just don't get it. -

Yes, now I hope when 1.4 comes out all the weapons will quote lines from this episode upon pulling the trigger. Just imagine the M249 going *lasagna lasagna lasagna lasagna* as you mow down your foes.

Even mentioning BF3 in ArmA3 threads will cause a flamewar. Apparently for some people in the ArmA community everything that sounds good is 'hollywood crap'. Fortunately we have modders like you LJ, keep up the good work.

The Jackal is a wheeled vehicle so why would it use the Bradley sounds? I think you meant the Warrior.
