Fixed that for you. -

409 hours of what? :-) I mean, there are some players that play as pilots or crew most of the time. I would not expect them to be good marksmen even after 1000 hours of tank driving and piloting helicopters :-) ---------- Post added at 16:50 ---------- Previous post was at 16:48 ---------- I disagree, the current devbranch is a regression basically. I dislike it. The effect of fatigue is barely noticeable in a normal gameplay now. -

It is always a bit complicated when a casual meets a challenge-seeking. -
There are some rules how to position your speakers. If you don't position them according to the rules, you cannot expect a good audio experience no matter the quality of the speakers. Simple as that. Period. There is nothing an engineer can do about it (stereo-wise). It is the same thing as if you would try to compensate for mixes being played in a bathroom or a concrete tube. Nothing you can do about it, really. Remember, correct speakers placement and correct room treatment is a priority. Only after that comes more expensive speakers and other stuff in the "chain".
-
No. A skilled mix engineer can minimize differences while also keep it sounding correctly. You just have to forget about extreme panning. You also have to have a correct audio engine that is manipulating stereo width correctly and dynamically (dynamic changing of width according to the distance from the source and according to the panning). I mix audio quite often so I know it is doable.

No, you are being elitist because you have a need to rage about achievements that only do good and nothing wrong. They are completely gameplay-safe and yet you have this strange need to write it to the thread as if it was a major issue. You simply feel as a little kid playing a kid's game because of the achievements but you want to feel the opposite - that you play a big-boys-hardcore-milsim simulation for the chosen ones. You should get your childhood traumas sorted, really.
-
You have to be incredibly elitist to have a need to write such stuff. Imagine there are newbie players that does not have a lot of time to check everything at once. There is much more achievements in the game (for exporting stuff from the Arsenal etc.). I know it hurts your elitist pseudo-hardcore-player feelings but let the others play the game as they want to. It is not like if achievements was influencing gameplay... Get a life.
-
Its because a lot of people does not know that it is even possible to do some of the stuff that achievements promote. So when somebody like that checks his Arma achievements he should realize he missed some features to test.
-
This is a problem indeed.
-
A correct mix should play in a similar way and with minimum differences on both systems. That is why one mix with speakers and headphones and not only with speakers or only with headphones. EDIT: Also, some games has audio settings where you switch between headphones/speakers settings.

Maybe, you two, could try to explain your "team-mates" that they would have to wait for you in order to be protected from the armour units? I mean...how difficult is that? Does it really cost you a lot of thinking in order to do that? What do you think do squads in real life? Not waiting for each other? You simply have to change your gameplay and tactics because there is another variable in the game - fatigue.

The whole waypoint system in Zeus sucks this way. You have to rush in order to control it. Amazing design flaw. This goes for HighCommand waypoint system as well.

Yes, I literally did hold my breath but it still did not prevent my hands from shaking, you see?

Interesting points about holding breath because when I tried to steady my aim in real life by actually holding breath it hardly had any effect on it. The hands were still shaking. Only my chest was static. I suppose I did something wrong...

I encourage you to test your suspicions in a controlled editor environment in the most exact conditions. You might be surprised what you could find out by that (for example: "I am not as good at aiming as I thought I am" etc.)

Thank you! We will most certainly have fun!

Exactly. This has been pointed out quite some time ago. It is a problem.

Excellent point. I really enjoy the new system because I am a slow, methodical player who does not like rushing.

Hello guys, not to be annoying but have you tried aiming with a long range scope in real life? If not, I recommend it to you. You might be surprised how much sway there is even when fully rested... -
It seemed to be like that for me too, but after few tens of seconds it eventually poped up on my screen.

The big deal is he is not informed at all and he doesn't know what is going on while overreacting on the forums.

Very good point.

Please, next time speak on behalf of yourself only. Thank you. I enjoy the new fatigue system although it could be improved (weapon resting, less unnatural slowmo animations...).
