As of tonight's dev branch upload I'm getting full game crashes every time I try to load a saved game. Also I'm finding bushes keep blinking in and out. When they disappear, the sun shines through as if the objects are simply not there. Then they typically reappear within about 1 second.

Funny. I've been killing virtual enemies and having a hoot for months now. I expect this to continue for a very long time. For less money than a meal out, I personally feel I got my money's worth, and some.

Mine also seems better, but at the same time I updated my AMD drivers to 13.10 beta (from 13.8 belta1) so that confounds the interpretation (game patch or beta drivers?)

No wonder they drive like maniacs on the continent. I put the hatchback on the main runway and was doing 280 km/h in under 5 seconds!!!!!

The problem with removing the wrecks to make the island more "neutral" is that you would logically move on to removing all the collapsed houses, then maybe most of the building sites, then.... However, I agree that toning down the number of wrecks might be a good compromise.

Digging deep into the back story, writing some fiction for it, and basing a tabletop roleplaying game on the computer game setting (using The Company) would really add legs to this game. Consider me interested.

Played a steamworks game last night where the AI fell off the breakwater into the harbour because of this issue. Is there a ticket for this we can vote up?

I have set up a chopper piloted by an AI and player is gunner. It has a single waypoint to HOLD and is set to careless behaviour. Despite using the setInHeight script, the chopper always slowly descends to about 50m. How can you get the chopper to stay at a certain height?

Thanks, I'll try that. The hover in one place is to set up a fish-in-barrel situation whereby one can practice gunnery at a distance. -

Yes. My bad to have described it as "setInHeight". This doesn't seem to work and there is a comment to this from 2009 in the wiki. It seems strange to me that there is no way to do this. -

I have no worries for the game at all. I do have worries about the destructive, entitlement driven community here that appears to be heavily populated by teenagers (or those with a mental age of a teenager). I suppose it's to be expected from computer game geeks. Stick to your guns BIS team. -
Looks like hours and hours of gaming potential in the game. I consider that exceptional value for money since the game cost me the equivalent of one dinner at a cheapish restaurant. I'm looking forward to it, your continued development and a lot of people moving on to their next thing to moan about (hopefully far, far away from here).

Two words come to mind here, "grow" and "up". Do some people honestly think BIS is somehow in control of their Internet connection and that this demonstrates some sort of technical incompetence on their behalf? Are you telling me you've never had your Internet connection go down or slow? What a bunch of entitlement junkies.

Surely Altis is the biggest map in any PC game?
