    HOTAS and rudder pedals implementation

Hello, Has there ever been discussion about HOTAS and rudder pedals inputs for Arma Reforger? I searched but haven't seen any answers. Now that helicopters are officially introduced, I hope they allow inputs from HOTAS and rudder pedals. I bought these specifically to fly in Arma years ago and now I have trouble flying a helicopter without the pedals at least. TrackIR already works which is wonderful, so it doesn't seem like they are only limiting inputs to KB/M and gamepad. I'm just wondering if anything has ever been said by the development team about it.

    clay_zeroaddons.pbo problem

Hi all, I recently bought Arma X on Steam and am loving Arma 2 (albeit a little late to the party). I'm trying to play on the few non-DayZ servers still operating, but I keep getting this error: I've tried googling this already, but only found one page (in German) where someone had the same problem and it unfortunately wasn't solved. Anyone have any ideas? Any input at all would be most appreciated!

Thank you! It really was as simple as removing that pbo from my addons folder while I want to play on that server. Thanks again.

    Streaming/performance problems

Hi all, I'm an old OFP player who wants to stream Arma: CWA on Twitch to celebrate its 20th anniversary (I can't believe it's been that long). The problem I'm having is the game runs great, but it stutters (only on stream) when I play for a few minutes. I'm confused about the stutter because this laptop can stream Arma 2 beautifully! I'm playing at 1080p, texture detail on low, view distance set to 900. I'm on a Surface Book 2 with Intel Core i7-8650U CPU @ 1.90GHz (2.11 GHz), 16GB RAM 1866Mhz LPDDR3, and NVIDIA GeForce GTX 1050 w/2GB GDDR5. I've read a lot of the old tweaking/optimizing threads but I'm not sure what else to do now. Does anyone have any advice for optimization for 1.99? I would love to be able to stream and share this game with a whole new generation, especially since I've had my own experiences in war now and it's interesting to see what was realistic and what wasn't.

    Streaming/performance problems

Sorry for the double post, but I tried adjusting bitrate on the fly and it didn't work. Playing ambush it never stuttered until when you're assaulting the town. I tried CO2: Battlefields (recommend for 1ghz+ PCs) and the stream started freezing/stuttering almost right away. If anyone has any ideas I'm open to them!

    Streaming/performance problems

Thanks! I do use the same settings for streaming both: 1080p 60 fps with the NVEC codec. I game capture the application in full screen. I'll try lowering the bitrate and seeing if that helps. I'll try lowering it to 30 fps too. Thanks again.

    Streaming/performance problems

Hi faguss! Thanks for the reply and letting me know you were successful streaming CWA. The game doesn't stutter when I play it. The stuttering only happens on the stream and only after I've been playing a few minutes (I've been testing using the Ambush mission). I stream using OBS. The settings I use for Arma 2 are 1080p, graphics on medium/high and draw distance 3500. I realize it could be something other than CWA, but it doesn't make sense to me that a more resource-intensive game like Arma 2 streams fine. If you have any more thoughts I'd love to hear them!

    Pictures of war

I just think its funny that you people think we care what you decided the first modern war was. Civil War historians say its the Civil War because they started using trenches, they used iron clad ships, they used railways, etc. If the European nations had looked at some Civil War battles they would have seen that a war of attrition is the stupidest thing ever, yet they didnt and nearly whiped out their male population. I'm going to believe the guys who spend their life thinking about this stuff, not the guy on the internet with his own opinion.

The Army can find a way to make anything boring. You might be fascinated by an FN-MAG, but to me, it's just another gun that is heavy and has to be carried places along with it's kit and ammo. I used to be fascinated with all that stuff to when I was younger, but it wore off. I'm not saying that I don't enjoy using them though. But it isn't what keeps me going. I hope you weren't serious about being fascinated by war, because war is not by any means 'fascinating'. Killing with the never ending threat of you or your buddies being killed is not 'fascinating' at all. You might think that you are an important individual. If there is one thing that the army has taught me, it is that every individual is expendable, especially infanteers. If you think that you wont see paperwork in the Army, you have another thing coming. Tyler EDIT: what did your dad do?<span id='postcolor'> My Dad was an officer in the Air Force in the 60s and 70s and 80s. He started out as a navigator on cargo planes like C-123s and went to Panama and stuff. Then he got into special operations with AC-130s and later commanded the Spectre unit out of Hurburt Field. Did at least 2 tours in Vietnam, and had operations in the Congo. He retired as Lt. Col. Before he was in the airforce he was in the Gaurd for a a couple years too. He loved his time in the Air Force and does not share the opinion here of "I would never do it again" He talks all the time about wishing they would let him back. He's 64. Now me, I want to be a combat controller in the Air Force. This is something I definately want to do and hopefully make a career out of. I cannot see myself doing anything else. (Well maybe flying but...) And a few opinions from Europeans on the internet is not going to change my mind.

I'm joining because of my Dad's stories, how much he liked it. I'm joining because I want to go places and do exciting things. I'm joining because weapons and war facinate me on a level nothing else does. I'm joining because I would not be happy behind a desk for the next 40 yrs of my life. If I were Denoir I'd be upset too. But I'm relatively sure that getting into Special Ops in such a "warmongering" country like mine that I'll see action and go places and do things. Just because that guy is some hippie who cries about dead Vietnamese, doesn't mean that I should reconsidering joining the Air Force.
