You're probably not the commander in that case... but if you press 2, then select the helicopter from the target list, you should issue a verbal command to the pilot to target the helicopter. -

If this is a custom mission you would want to make yourself the commander of the group, and then tell the pilot to target the helicopter. -

I've never tried air to air combat in TOH, but, I guess with any air to air combat you want to get in close from behind and above and lead your target, probably more than you think you need to. If you have an ai gunner shooting, I would tell him to only open fire once you don't have a high degree of angle-off movement. Meaning, you want the helicopter to be fairly stationary in your windscreen. The thing with the Hind is it is very fast and has amazing dive performance- unfortunately, this means that you're very prone to overspeed, even in a shallow dive. This makes energy fighting in the helicopter extremely complicated. Also it has pretty poor acceleration so you don't want to be dumping energy doing tight turns with it. -

There is no way to show a different mag depending on what kind of magazine is being used in game. The model you see was supplied to us as is. It's not really canon in OFP so it's really just a bonus. I would like to make an m16a1 myself without the geometry artifacts and stuff on top but unfortunately we'll have to live with this one for now. We're currently not planning any suppressed rifles for the mod. Tthere are a few suppressed submachine guns. We won't be including Red Hammer because it is owned by Codemasters. I'll let Mr. W0lle talk more about the campaigns since that is his thing.- 1308 replies

Are you saying that this poll is a scientific tool? "Hey kid, I've got this thing that's better. You want something that's better?" LOL Yes, that's exactly what I'm saying. I'm saying this poll is so poorly crafted that it is not even close to measuring customer demand. The poll itself doesn't even mention HTR. Even if TOP wanted to make a scientific poll, the forum software doesn't allow for a proper survey to be conducted. -

If the number of "modders" I banned or otherwise had to perform administrative action on in the past few weeks are part of this hypothetical new wave, steam workshop / the internets can keep its modders. Ripping off content certainly is a way around the workshop terms of use: they can't take away what you didn't own in the first place. I think it's important to understand that you can not give away what you don't own. Someone randomly uploading your stuff to Workshop doesn't grant Valve the right to make derivatives, etc. I think the issue is that we don't know how Valve handles these situations.

AFAIK you can't. What I was saying is if you use that switch to load a mod, you disable the expansions browser functionality. If you don't use it, the game will detect mods in your root folder, and will give you the option to enable or disable them ingame using the browser. -
What you're looking at is not Level of Detail but mipmaps. Mipmaps are strictly a texture thing and they are controlled in your texture settings.

Russian aircraft are usually quite glossy. Iran's own aircraft seem to be pretty glossy, too: http://i.planepictures.net/100/51/1293567656.jpg But I agree, not as glossy as you have there.

Really? Are they part of another country? I think at least Nogova is a sovereign nation. It seems to have buildings devoted to government, at least. The wiki (written by community members, I think) would have you believe it's a republic. I think they would either be microstates or micronations.

That could be a lot of things, including incorrect mission parameters. If a helicopter is crashing over and over, it means (at the very least) something could change with the mission, or even something is wrong with the helicopter! There is nothing standard with our mod. If it's a CWR2 mission, we would appreciate your bug reports. We would also appreciate you not use our very complex, very custom mod as evidence towards some aspect of BI's default behaviour. -
On the contrary, they are quite easy to fly. They just require a little familiarity.

You can't edit the models from A2 its DLC/expansions. They released all of their arma 1 models. You can kitbash those if you like. -
The thread of failure has failed. The devs have announced that PhysX in this game is computed on the CPU only. I'm sure they have a good reason for this. Now that's it's clear that not even the topic starter is interested in his topic anymore, I think we can safely put a lock on this one. edit: that should read CPU only.

It's not really islands coming with campaigns but campaigns made for islands. CWR2 is a mod that includes a lot of things like campaigns and islands, same with FDF mod. For finding campaigns in the wild, check out the user mission forum.
