The mils on that binocular seem wrong. I checked the manual: 1 on the scale = 10 mils, the same as the standard BI binocular. However, 10 mils on the stock bino is twice the size of the DLC, so estimation is completely off with those. Tweaked a bit around and it seems bleeding cause the most fps hits in average battles. I disabled it, for more performance. The mod is still very CPU intense, which causes noticeable stutters which wouldn't appear in vanilla and that in an already very CPU intense game. But so immersive as fuck ;) Wah, it makes me sad. -
I must say, you have a very creative way you solved that for yourself. You manage it by totally avoiding such situation, which is understandable. But I see no reason why i should download a mod, prepare each mission and destroy my immersion because BI is not capable improving such a basic thing. And trust me, modding the game is not the problem. Only that there is no mod that addresses the problem i described. It seems the community do not see such importance in that. Why they should? Anyways, it is so basic and a no brainer to improve. I can understand having this issue in OPF CW, where gear was very basic, but not in 2016 where i have a graphical update with fancy water shader, but need to use minutes and 100 inputs to let ai pick up a god damn backpack. Do know how i solved to give the ai a item? I go to a dead enemy, pick up the item, move 10 m away where is nothing, command the ai to stand on the item, press 6, press multiple time 0 until inventory is found, choose inventory, chances are 50/50 (recommended to run 1km further away from any interactive objects) that ai will inspect the item (which is very high), I equip the ai, finish. Lets do that with again with other 5 ai mates and you are ready to go. I love this game with its god sides and flaws, but this really triggers me after 15 years :wacko: ;) Exactly what i meant :) I mean, i like guerilla missions, where i must live with that what i have or loot what enemies have. God, i really wish classic OPF Resistance style missions. That is why scouting is the only funny part in the east wind campaign. Main missions are too short and just running from one script to another. :rolleyes: Dreaming..., but that is another topic.

Really like your mod. Finally, a mod which addresses 'that' kind of realism. I still need to tweak the config to manage the significant performance hits, but i also hope there will be some improvements in the future without turning off all the options :) Not a big deal, but is the color of fresh blood a little bit too dark? I think there is a bias about blood being so dark. :ph34r: -
Most played Game Series in my life. :) It is comfortable that the ai commands have not changed after 15 years. But it is not comfortable that it is still a pain to manage the inventory of ai units in my squad as leader. Yes, you can access all members inventory on the map which is not the issue and yes, you can command by choosing an individual and press 6 to get a list of 10 weapon of the same type and hope that the ai do not run 10km away to pick up the weapon you want him to pick up even 1m in front of him is the same thing and yes, you can let them move to a body press 6, press inventory and hope he picks the correct body. Because of the more complex gear options, including weight, backpacks etc. it is a pain and very frustrating to manage that. Is the engine so limited, that it even after 15 years not possible to choose an ai, point at a weapon/ body gear and get an option to let them directly access the inventory/ pick up . Similar to the 'get in' command with vehicles. I am really that stupid and miss some function or is there really no efford to adress that problem?
