The 4th MRB has been redirected to a different TAOR in southern Anijay Province after being reinforced by a battalion of the 10th Mountain Division. The new assignment is under code name Operation Latent Trend as it is meant to support the efforts of the initial operation. ISIS-Khorasan has built up a support network in and around the Pakistan border which is a mountainous and hilly area with the potential to conceal movements of troops and equipment across the border. Operation Prime Trend transitioned into Operation Latent Trend as the Raiders of MSOT 8410 were shifted further south along the Pakistan border. The 4th MRB is currently deployed on Operation Prime Trend, to Afghanistan. We redeployed to a mountainous region close to the Pakistan border where ISIS and Al Qaeda have settled in presumably because they don't think anyone will find them. We'll see, won't we?? On November 11, 2020, the 4th Marine Raider Battalion Realism Unit, celebrated their 5th Anniversary, or as we like to say, our birthday. As a special production, the members of the unit introduce themselves and give you a little insight into their unique personalities. Operation Prime Trend. Marine Special Operation Team (MSOT) 8410 pushed further into the TAOR where ISIS fighters were building defenses and appeared to be settling in to stay awhile. Part Two of First Mission of Operation Prime Trend. This was our first foray out into our new AO and we ran head long into Taliban and Al Qaeda forces who were firmly established in the western part of the district. The 4th Marine Raider Battalion arrived in new AO as part of Operation Prime Trend, with orders to support other USSOCOM teams, intel operators, Afghan Army and security forces in Anijay District of Helmand Province. Watch our first mission as we start intelligence and combat operations to counter the resurgence of Al Qaeda in this area, with the support of the local Taliban. Displaced ISIS leaders and fighters who have moved into this area and are also trying to expand their control and influence.
