Dodgy mod or a Mod installed in the Root ArmA addons folder rather than in its @mod/addons folder.

Or

Possibly corruption caused by a cheat or pirate copy of ArmA.

Never seen this in vanilla ArmA.

I've seen someone go prone while flying a huey before, but only once online so I'm not sure if a mod bugged out or if the game did. No proof of it unfortunately.

I had something similar too a while back with a CDF Hind on our Desert Island but was not able to reproduce it, no matter what I tried. Back then both crew members where standing in their seats while flying around.

Looks like it can be attachTo, but my theory is buggy animation. He still looks like he's in the seat, but he's got the wrong anim.
