Simon C 0 Posted July 4, 2010 Well, asking on here will get you some really biased answers, seeing as this is the BIS community and we all like BIS's games. :p On a serious note, I'd say yes, because the amount that OA adds to the game is simply stunning. The thermal imaging, IR lasers, etc are brilliant, as is the set of new islands you get to play with. Plus, you even get the SCAR, which I am growing to like thanks to Arrowhead. So yeah, it's totally worth it.
cossack8559 10 Posted July 4, 2010 Yes, i think OA is brilliant and its my favourite of the Arma games. :) I normally only play in the editor making missions and such, but with OA i have been playing capture the island on MP and i am very much enjoying it. worth every penny. Winch3st3r 0 Posted July 4, 2010 I would say the majority of ARMA 2 players will buy OA as it adds much wanted features. Problem is that I see a large drain of players from ARMA 2 migrating to OA servers. You may be left behind with ARMA
jibemorel 10 Posted July 4, 2010 If you like ArmaII, then OA is a must.

Alamandaros 10 Posted July 4, 2010 I more or less have the same question as the OP, but from a different situation. I don't own Arma II but that Steam deal has me looking into it (I've thought about it for the past few months really). I suppose my question is, is there any reason to buy both Arma II and OA (the Combined Operations bundle)? The CO bundle is $10 more on Steam (compared to just OA) but I don't know if there's a reason I'd ever end up playing Arma II over OA.
ahmedjbh 0 Posted July 4, 2010 get it now. If you like military games, then its the logical choice. If you like dressing up baby dolls, then dont get it.
schurem 0 Posted July 4, 2010 what's 24 pounds? just two rounds in the pub with the mates. OA is quite a few more rounds and won't damage your liver and brain as much.

You'll get a lot for that few extra bucks . And, you'll be able to play on most servers also ;) I'd say combined ops are the way to go.
