WisemanRAX 0 Posted June 29, 2010 Maybe there is some problem with the Steam version? It would be nice to get some feedback from the developers.
esco7800 10 Posted June 29, 2010 wow i expected more from steam
Schancky 10 Posted June 29, 2010 I'm annoyed as well! It looks like the release in the UK has been pused back until the 2nd for CD release, Might explain this for steam, but im unsure. Didn't think that we would be treated this way considering we are paying for this...
AnimalMother92 10 Posted June 29, 2010 I sent a support ticket to Steam, maybe we'll hear back before Christmas time... So much for buying OA it seems.

Valve will have it fixed once they're aware, they aren't as unrelable as you are cracking them up to be. They aren't EA. Granted it is stupid that they went through all that trouble and forgot to put a price on it. you'd think they'd notice it sooner
nyles 11 Posted June 29, 2010 Given the fact that the countdown worked just fine for a very long time now, this really is the ultimate tease. Very annoying.
maruk 80 Posted June 29, 2010 Steam says it should be launching this morning so hopefully the wait should be over very soon...
TimRiceSE 10 Posted June 29, 2010 youre all still happy to buy it on steam knowing how arma2 patching has been on steam?

WA Lancer 94 Posted June 29, 2010 This thread will be riddled with unhappiness and discontent. I am most irked by the timer on steam that i waited fro but got not results from.
nyles 11 Posted June 29, 2010 youre all still happy to buy it on steam knowing how arma2 patching has been on steam? Yeah absolutely. I got a good connection, so I don't mind redownloading the whole package for patches. There is one big advantage of the Steam version in my opinion: The built-in steamworks access that allows talking to friends and even more importantly, accessing webpages in-game. Such a great help for having console command references, the forums and editing pages accessible without alt-tabbing out of the game all the time. :)
aced170 14 Posted June 29, 2010 Animal, I like to buy most of my games on steam because it a great service. I've been anticipating this release for that last couple of weeks now, not being able to pre-order/pre-load wasn't that big of a problem, but this is just frustrating. efefia 0 Posted June 29, 2010 Steam are at the mercy of the distributors, I assume that'd be Atari again for them in this instance. They had the exact same problem with Activision not releasing EU CD-Keys for the new Transformers game last week (they still haven't got that game available to EU customers even now)
Kastrenzo 10 Posted June 29, 2010 it also just dawned on me that this isnt the first time something like this has happened, it may be the first time I've seen something released without a price. but things like this happen all the time with "upcoming releases" on steam. so dont freak out just yet. JB1528 10 Posted June 29, 2010 *Pulls out sabre* Well I'm off to kill Gabe Newell and the Steam staff, who's with me?
esco7800 10 Posted June 29, 2010 vary frustrating I mean what was the point of having the count down. If steam did not have it ready yet they could have put the OA page up with the release date. And left the count down out. That way people would not be siting on there page all day.
