Is it possible to declutter the aicraft HUD?

Recommended Posts

Yes, it's a mission design issue, not a hud issue. The hud wouldn't be an issue if there were less armor, and the target sizes were much bigger. The game should strive to please those wanting a realistic gameplay, not those who wants a regular shooter who wants tons of enemy to fight and can't handle any bad sides.

What I'm saying is, don't "fix the game" so that unrealistic game modes like Domination becomes easier to play. Domination already does tons of custom stuff to make it easier. If it is unrealistic, then ok, fix it. But not because of the reasons given when they can be addressed by changing the mission.

And, work with a FAC to setup a good approach line. Get the targets marked by smoke. Plenty of options if you can abandon the idea of relying on a cluttered HUD.

When faced with a problem, try to solve it. Think, out of the box if needed.

"Is it possible to declutter the HUD, because I enjoy playing unrealistic missions", should be answered "No, currenty not. But please do open a ticket on the tracker with links to how the real thing works if you feel it is unrealistic."

Ahh, just noticed there was such a ticket :)

Ehem, lol... Sometimes I read threads while my brain is sometimes somewhere else. After reading the ticket, and rereading here, I realize I have missed the part of "already destroyed targets" - several times :Oo: I just saw "target rich environment". I can agree to already destroyed targets having to show up on a hud, afaik (I'm not a flyboy tho, so no expert) "IR targets" would cool down after a while and not be able to pick them up.

That you can work around it is not an excuse to keep a silly feature in.

If it was the replacement of the targetting box when lining up, cool, that'd be sexy.

If it was a toggle that I could turn on and off, that's fine too.

But as it is currently, I don't even want 1 of them boxes littering my visibility.

Is it possible to disable this feature somehow? Maybe some value in configs?

I'm not concerned about number of vehicles. I just want to turn off this magical feature for more realistic gameplay.

Thank you very much PvPscene!
