d3nn16 3 Posted April 25, 2010 Hello Since Battleye was enabled on 99% of servers I'm unable to play ArmA MP. Whatever I do Battleye kicks me out of the server : client not responding (tried windows 7 firewall off, no antivirus, putting PC in DMZ in home router, clean install, download Battleye files from Battle website, trying beta... nothing works). I'm curious to know how many of you are in the same situation as me : unable to play MP on Battleye enabled servers.
76 0 Posted April 25, 2010 Not sure it will help but Download This, copy and paste to... C:\Program Files\Bohemia Interactive\ArmA 2\BattlEye, and overwrite existing file. other than that BE seems to be running pretty well, for me anyway... I'll let others give more technical advice :) good luck bro
d3nn16 3 Posted April 25, 2010 I downloaded that already, and it doesn't fix anything
stk2008 14 Posted April 25, 2010 Ive never been kicked to my mate did but he had wrong version or some thing he went to main site and did it that way.
Inkompetent 0 Posted April 25, 2010 Why's there no option for "never kicked"? I haven't got booted by BE a single time this far.
d3nn16 3 Posted April 25, 2010 "never kicked" goes to "almost never kicked ..." ;-) Should have put brackets around "almost"
SWAT_BigBear 0 Posted April 25, 2010 Sable may want to change "client not responding" to "client timed out". It is usually the client loosing a solid connection to the server after BE's set time frame. It does help the other players on the server from getting a bad Dsync caused from a server attempting to hang on to that client.
d3nn16 3 Posted April 25, 2010 It happens on all BattlEye servers that I joined, and for any type of mission, be it Warfare or a CTF mission. Now that you told me I just did a simple test : connected to an empty server with the lowest ping (~50) and loaded a DM mission and I still got kickek out by BattlEye with same error (Client not responding). $able 2 Posted April 25, 2010 d3nn16, could you do this: http://forums.bistudio.com/showpost.php?p=1544295&postcount=39?
Zipper5 74 Posted April 25, 2010 I always used to have issues with BattlEye. Would always get kicked out of servers running it, usually because my client wouldn't initialize. Now, I never get those errors any more, and it works perfectly. So, in my opinion, BattlEye's already been fixed. :p
S-M 10 Posted April 25, 2010 I have been kicked twice, but it usually lets me back on as soon as i retry!?!
Alex72 1 Posted April 25, 2010 Got kicked way way back in the days. Never lately though so poll does not apply to me.
$able 2 Posted April 25, 2010 (edited) d3nn16, sorry, I just noticed you already did the "#beclient test" testing about two months ago. Could you tell me the name of your ISP and the exact router model you're using? Edited April 25, 2010 by $able
d3nn16 3 Posted April 25, 2010 (edited) $able I PMed you those details If you can fix this I can even give you remote access to my PC ;-) (anyway I keep Windows only for 2 games ArmA and Mount&Blade) Edited April 25, 2010 by d3nn16
d3nn16 3 Posted May 8, 2010 got it fixed $able told me to ping like this : ping google.com -l 8 (8 to 0) There was no answer to the ping except if I used a number above 8 (the payload of the packets in bytes). Battleye works with 8 bytes so that's why I had the problem. I had an old ISP router and after having my Internet connection cut for a while I called the ISP and they sent me the new model of the router and this time it pings correctly down to 0 bytes. So if you have the problem try another router ;-) ping google.com -l 8 Note: when i pinged my router like this ping 192.168.1.1 -l 8 it did answer the ping so I thought it might not be the cause of the problem but it was. Bomber_c 0 Posted May 8, 2010 I've been auto-kicked for a high ping when I usually have a ping of 10, but that only happened twice out of the past 9 months.
