Polish President dead

Recommended Posts

Wow i am not polish but even i feel bad i think some of these ppl are on the on the other side of this green and blue marble we call earth, feeling their pain. The more ppl die the more ppl think how precious life is, and how we can't waste it and throw it away by killing others or sacrificing their life in wars, so many other people have said this over and over but sometimes u need to say again to get the point across.

R.I.P

That was a ceremony ... Very impressive and solemn. I'd never expect in my life to see such thing in Poland, this moment will be historical. I was hoping to see good Polish horses towing the artillery platform with the casket. Today, horses were replaced by mechanical horses of american origin (humvee's).

It must have been very hard for Presidents daughter - Marta, she lost two of her parents in this horrible crash, she's been through a lot lately,sigh...

This reminded me the First Marshal Pilsudski funeral in 1935 (pictures below), the same massive scale.

Apparently my good "friend" Bombo the clown isn't going now because of the volcanic ash. -_- I'm no expert but couldn't they just... take another route?

I'm only half polish and I'm an American, but this whole ordeal still saddens me.

There is now way to get here by air because of the volcanic ash cloud. Of course there is one way, to fly on very low altitude what prime Minister of Morocco, did and arrived to Cracow at 17 pm today. Australians are on the way but they may turn back as the situation gets worse.

Other delegations from neighboring countries plan to come to Cracow by train. Aviation exerts say that travel on low alt is possible but the engines burn way more gasoline than usual.

I still think it'd be nice to go. Even if its impractical you could fly elsewhere and take a land route. Oh well.

Edit: eh, a lot more flights where grounded than I had thought.
