OK some of you didn't like the Idea of a Commie-Nazi terrorist (I called him a commie nazi to make him more EVIL!! here's a different story to the S.O.N.I.C force.

Dimitri Dekker, a highly decorated Soviet general leading the war on Afghanistan (Soviet war not war on terrorism) and was believed to be the single man that would lead the Soviets to victory against the Taliban and no other General in the world comes as close to being as good as him. His tactics in batlle were so ferocious he earned the name Dimitri "Rampage" Dekker.

However the General was attacked by Taliban members while riding in a UAZ to a helicopter to fly back to Moscow to recieve a Medal for his brilliance in combat in Afghanistan, the General was supposedly killed. 17 years later Russia was now no longer a Communist country was enjoying her final deserved peace. However to the amazement of Russian civilians found that Dekker finally returned to Moscow. The war veterans of Afghanistan war were excitied, they suggested to Dekker to run for Prime Minister.

Dekker did and won the elections. People of Russia rejoiced as an old war hero was not dead!(he was found barely alive by N.Allaince members and was treated back to health by them and finally when it was safe they returned him to Moscow)

However a MI6 agent from England infiltrated Moscow and into the main war office where he discovered a rapid increase of production of Nuclear weapons, Nuclear silos, Naval ships, combat and transport aircraft and a major increase in armed personell which reached a staggering 70 million soldiers!!!

But the most horrific thing the agent discovered was a special shipment of 50 Nuclear weapons, 50,000 personell, 600 tanks, 350 combat aircraft, 1,200 transport vehicles to Iraq!!!! with a photo of Dekker and Saddam Hussein shaking hands on the agreement!!!

But before the agent could warn western powers of the deadly shipment he was captured by Russian soldiers!! Then it happened! Iraq was pushing into Iran, Pakistan, most of North Africa and into Isreal. US president George Bush talked to Dekker about it over the phone but Dekker chuckeled and put the phone down and never answered when Bush tried to contact him again.

Just then General Nick Rodriquez (General of the US army) he says "Sir we have a crisis!! Hawai has been wiped out by a Nuke!!" Bush, surprised by Nick's comment then Nick replies "Not only that sir but after the explosion cleared away sattlelite photos reported heavy RUSSIAN!! militairy seizing the islands. Chinese and Japaneese embassies also report that Beijing and Tokyo are completely caught by surprise and are being attacked by major forces of MiG's, Hind-D's and major numbers of Russian soldiers are pushing into the city!!, Russian aircraft carriers accomponied by Subermarines and destroyers are also launching assaults on North Eastern Korea and Vietnam, Iraq are pushing into Afghanistan and India too!!"

George Bush finally made a course of action "Quick set a Nuclear target for Banghad!" (Iraqi Capital) but Rodriquez replies "But sir Iraq also have acess to Nuclear weapons! they threaten us that if we launch a Nuke they will!!, also we recieved an unretraceble phone call saying "Russia will rise again and you pigs won't stop us!!! I have Nuclear silos set in Leningrad, Vladivostok, Stalingrad, Moscow and other places in Russia!! you can't beat me I'm "RAMPAGE!! leader of the Soviet Original Nation International Communist party also known as short for S.O.N.I.C army force!" Bush says "Do you know anything about this "Rampage"? Nick answers "We believe it to be Dimitri Dekker sir because during the Soviet war on Afghanistan he was nicknamed Dimitri "Rampage"Dekker (Hence the name Operation Flashpoint 2 "Rampage") . This will explain that why the russians are occupying Tokyo, Beijing, Korea, Vietnam and Hawai. We also believe he is working with Saddam Hussein and Dekker was the man who supplied the Iraqi dictator with Nuclear weapons!" just then a phone call from Tony Blair reaches Bush.

"George you won't believe what's happening!! Russian Aircraft, Ships and soldiers are invading the Noth East of Scotland and England!! we don't know if they are Renegades or under order from Moscow! I'm phonong you to Warn you!!" Bush says silently "Don't worry you're not alone!"

I think this is better than the other odea I had for a sequel. If you thinl this is better then please post!!

Taliban came to existence only after Russians left. Before then, it was mujahedins. mujahedins basically means fighters AFAIK.

sucks. I want to see a campaign that is patterned on Red Storm Rising, or at least the European land battles in the book. Anyone know if someone is working on a project like that?

What I remember, is that it's not the afghan who got rig of the Russian. It's Ben Laden and it's forces if you prefer to establish is shit theyre.

If you want to get down to it, back during the Soviet/Afghan War, none of the mujahedin took Bin Laden seriously. Apparently what he would do is drive all over the place in a shiny new truck full of rpgs and assault rifles and would hand them out like candy. Most guerrillas just thought of him as a young idealist with too much money.

Hmm the lack of forward warning systems, intelligense and orginisation of the Western Allies is somewhat worrying but apart from that, not a bad plot. Alkthough I think OFP2 should be about the cold war for real not on an island. keep engine the same, same weapons and stuff with some of course added just add a whole new dimention with Europe and an evolving campaign like some flight sims have.

Just to remind you that what really happen in coldwar: NOTHING!! It was just an arm race, theyre were no really combat between Russia and the USA.
