SouthSaturnDelta 1 Posted January 16, 2010 Hello to all. We gave a 32 slot dedi server running ACE2,but the main admin is away for a bit - normally he would update the server. I use YOMA and its patched to the latest - my question is how do I update the dedicted server to the new ace2? I have full admin access to the server and the files. I recall hearing there is some way to auto update using Yoma but does anyone have a link to intel? Many thanks, Skidder.
otsit 10 Posted January 25, 2010 Id like to know as well. Using the dedicated server on Ubuntu 9.1 and havent figured out how to use yoma or another tool to keep ace up to date. Even tried it with wine.... any takers?

otsit 10 Posted January 29, 2010 Ok finally had the time to try it. Edited the settings and tried to run the script and got this: ./aceupdate: 33: Syntax error: "(" unexpected Any ideas?
Defunkt 431 Posted January 30, 2010 What it says. Does your line 33 still look like: MIRRORLIST=(dev-heaven.net s01.6thsense.eu s02.6thsense.eu 64.34.164.115 arma2.armagoons.com 213.245.0.237 six.bssnet.dk zeus2.zeus-community.net) Maybe post the whole script you're using (with any edits). lynxwolf 10 Posted March 1, 2010 i have this but how do i like have it auto shutdown my server update and restart at a certain time??
sickboy 13 Posted March 1, 2010 Could ask KellysHeroes Cross for their batch files for the updater. basically you can schedule the console updater, while you kill the arma2server.exe with taskkill. Maybe once someone has set it up, they can add the docu to the wiki :)
cross 1 Posted March 1, 2010 (edited) You need to create a batch file (an autorun file with the commands in it). We use firedaemon for managing services so use command lines in our batch; 1-Stop the arma2 server 2-Update addons via 6Updater (ACE and others) 3-Delete old keys 4-unzip new keys & mpmissions from store into Arma2 5-stop IIS to Repo 6-update Yoma Repo 7-start IIS to Repo 7-upload YAS to mirrors 8-start Arma2 server You need zip appl to unzip keys and missions into keys folder. Here is our batch .. edited and I've removed some private lines.. ;) @ECHO OFF start /wait Net Stop MyA2ACEServer start /wait "" "Z:\Six-Updater\tools\ruby\bin\ruby.exe" -rubygems "Z:\Six-Updater\six-updater.rb" KHACE-six-updater.yml del Z:\Arma2\keys\ace*.bikey del Z:\Arma2\keys\cba*.bikey xcopy Z:\ArmA2\@ACE\store\keys Z:\ArmA2\keys /s /y /i xcopy Z:\ArmA2\@ACEX\store\keys Z:\ArmA2\keys /s /y /i xcopy Z:\ArmA2\@CBA\store\keys Z:\ArmA2\keys /s /y /i xcopy Z:\ArmA2\@ACEX_PLA\store\keys Z:\ArmA2\keys /s /y /i xcopy Z:\ArmA2\@ACEX_SM\store\keys Z:\ArmA2\keys /s /y /i start /wait "" "Z:\7-ZA\7za.exe" x "Z:\ArmA2\@ACE\store\userconfig.tar" -o"Z:\ArmA2" -y start /wait "" "Z:\7-ZA\7za.exe" x "Z:\ArmA2\@ACE\store\mpmissions.tar" -o"Z:\ArmA2" -y Net Start MyA2ACEServer Edited March 1, 2010 by Cross
sickboy 13 Posted March 1, 2010 Nice one, cheers Cross! Now I would suggest whoever is going to use the batch file, to note their findings and add a small howto to our Wiki, or some other info resource. Even when only a handful people do this, everyone can benefit from it. Documentation will become more complete and easier to understand :D Ask not what WE can do for YOU, but what YOU can do for YOU, and US, and THEM :D
