$able 2 Posted February 28, 2010 I have reinstalled ArmA2 and Battleye on a win7-64 And like to make sure BE is up to date.Is there a way to manually update BE? http://www.battleye.com/download.html No need to do that though if your BE is able to auto-update in-game. ---------- Post added at 15:16 ---------- Previous post was at 15:09 ---------- ;1580292']be.log found ! nobrainer 0 Posted February 28, 2010 http://www.battleye.com/download.htmlNo need to do that though if your BE is able to auto-update in-game. But last time I had huge problems connecting because I needed to update, then I had to restart ArmA2 before I could join. The update did go well, but it said nothing about that I had to restart the game. Since it's a clan game tonight, I don't want a lot of mess with BattlEye. If it where some simple feature so I could check the version. I would be better of when I connect to a BattlEye server.

Your BE version and the required version is shown when BattlEye is loaded.

Wolfgang-R3f- 10 Posted March 10, 2010 Here is the full content of be.log after trying another random server. May this help more... Have you got any idea about the trouble ? Bad files on my computer ? (arma1 still installed..., win vista 64 bit with uac...) Or bad Network configuration ? i don't think so... DHCP, and port redirection done correctly i think... Conflict with another program ? how may i test this ? I've read that battleye would auto-update itself, did i ? Before trying with the BEv1.141, i retry with the old version to see if an auto-update was done... there wasn't so i put the new dll at the good place... - i1 0 o2 0 i1 0 o2 0 i1 0 o2 0 i1 0 o2 0 i1 0 o2 0 i1 0 o2 0 - i1 0 o2 0 i1 0 o2 0 i1 0 o2 0 i1 0 o2 0 i1 0 o2 0 i1 0 o2 0 i1 0 o2 0 i1 0 o2 0 i1 0 o2 0 - 816 24 0 91.121.75.25:2302 16 i1 0 o2 0 816 91.121.75.25:2302 i1 0 o2 0 816 91.121.75.25:2302 i1 0 o2 0 816 91.121.75.25:2302 i1 0 o2 0 816 91.121.75.25:2302 - 816 24 0 80.190.191.125:2302 16 - 816 24 0 80.190.191.125:2302 16 i1 0 o2 0 816 80.190.191.125:2302 - 816 24 0 91.121.97.15:2302 16 i1 0 o2 0 816 91.121.97.15:2302 i1 0 o2 0 816 91.121.97.15:2302 i1 0 o2 0 816 91.121.97.15:2302 i1 0 o2 0 816 91.121.97.15:2302

dredge 10 Posted March 18, 2010 Hey $able, Alot of players in our community are flatout unable to connect to the server. We have noticed that 90% of them are using the Steam Version of ArmA. Is BE reading the Steam Overlay as a hack? I also read that they should disable the overlay for FRAPS and TS if they use them. So would they need to do the same for Steam? No, that's no longer the case. What do you mean with "unable to connect to the server"? If that is due to BE it should say so in the server console. Post the exact violation then. Wow, now I feel stupid. I thought the 1.05 dedi was still in beta. I wonder why my GSP hasn't updated it? Thanks for the head-up and link! For some reason after my GSP installed the 1.05 update, the battleeye folder isn't in there? Can I just upload the battleeye files or does it need to be installed? alef 0 Posted June 26, 2010 I've found in my registry (XP32) the following keys: HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Bohemia Interactive\ArmA 2\BattlEye HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Bohemia Interactive\BattlEye It's BattlEye creating them? At the bottim of this page I've collected registry keys (mainly from Xfire) for installations of arma2.

The BE installer creates them (the 2nd is from ArmA 1 though), but they are not needed for BE to work.
CerberusDog 10 Posted November 13, 2010 (edited) My ArmA2OA.RPT file says it updated Battleeye to 143 but the server requires 144. I've updated from the Battleeye.com site, from the updater and used a copy from people that can play on our server but it still says Battleeye initialisation failed. I'm using the 1.55 Steam Version of Arma2/OA and running as CO. Exe timestamp: 2010/11/13 18:02:45Current time: 2010/11/13 19:04:05 Version 1.55.75556 ...
