DarkLight 0 Posted April 3, 2002 These fights are so typicall, first X kills one of the Y side, next Y wants to take revenge to show that they're no sissys so they kill 5 ppl from the X side, next X takes revenge because Y attacked 5 of their men, X kills 10 ppl, then Y kills 15 ppl to take revenge,.... !!! This shit never ends man, war sux.... The worst part probable is that it's a fight between a couple very rich guys who have a lot of money, and none of that rich ppl get hurt, only the innocent ppl really suffer from all this. Thats just puttting aside all other reasons to hate the mod, such as its innacuracies and the still very immediate consequences of the actual event. In my eyes the biggest problem in the Palestine/Israeli conflict is the long period of time through which it has been more or less violent. Generations grow up with the conflict and it becomes part of the daily life, and they might even (fear) what would be there instead if the conflict ended... And this is also the thing that makes me really worried about the "War on terrorism"; the possibility of a global version of the Israel/Palestine (or other such conflicts) conflict if it is allowed to continue - where (no one) really cares/understands/remembers the reasons for the conflict, and it therefore lasts for a very long time. It will most certainly have the form of terrorists (from Nations with weak military) attacking civilians vs military forces (from military strong nations) attacking suspected terrorist targets. Who in such a mess that are right or wrong, coward/hero is hard (or impossible) to say in a objective way. I even saw o nthe news that they were firing live ammo 1 or 2 metres in front of the peace protesters. As for the word "Terrorism"... it is used rather loosely these days, especially after september 11th. I see no point in REAL war. Wargames yes I kill, maim and destroy, but real war? Illogical. On a side note I just had a couple of hundred arabs march past my apartment screaming "Ariel Sharon - murderer" and "Long live Palestine". Escorted by several police officers. After Israel's invasion of palestine, he'd be lucky to even find one palestinian that would even start peace talks with him! And to all the people wondering why the Palestinians use suicide bombers... what choice do they have? I'm sure they'd love to kick the isreali army out of palestine if they had access to the Apaches, Cobras, F16s and Merkervas largely provided by the US.... And what makes me really angry is the way Sharon calls this part of the "war on terror". I mean this only adds to resentment of the west in the Arab world and Sharon is the terrorist NOT Arafat!!! Wobble 1 Posted April 4, 2002 the problem is Arab-fat supports and encourages suicide attacks on civilians.. period.. he pretty much says "find the biggest group of isreale men, women, and children and kill as many as possable" that the difference.. at least isreal seems to makes somewhat of an attempt to actually get the right people.. arafat just sees a good jew is a dead jew.. and if you dont call that a terriristic ideal.. well your fucking head isnt screwed on tight enough.. or maby its in your ass. I oppose Sharon and the current Israeli government and how their actions are portayed. I do not support suicide bombings of civilians. I have stated this several times and you have read it, Wobble.
