Solarghost 10 Posted November 7, 2009 I keep getting this error.... "C:\Program Files\Steam\steam.exe" -applaunch 33910 -nosplash -cpuCount=2 -mod=beta
TimRiceSE 10 Posted November 7, 2009 Launch it from the "Launch Arma2 with beta patch" shortcut in your steamapps/arma2 dir. I think.
maddogx 13 Posted November 7, 2009 Launch it from the "Launch Arma2 with beta patch" shortcut in your steamapps/arma2 dir.I think. ^^ Correct. You have to launch the beta executable itself. That's not possible via Steam.
Solarghost 10 Posted November 7, 2009 Done it, still doesn't work Target: "C:\Program Files\Steam\steamapps\common\arma 2\beta\arma2.exe" Start in: "C:\Program Files\Steam\steamapps\common\arma 2\beta" Error: No entry '.profilePathDefault'. Game then tries to run then shuts down to desk top. Summery to questions: Beta patches do not work with Steam???
Dwarden 1125 Posted November 7, 2009 (edited) already explained here : http://forums.bistudio.com/showpost.php?p=1482503&postcount=4 you need fix your Target with -mod=beta and StartIn to ARMA2 Edited November 8, 2009 by Dwarden
maddogx 13 Posted November 7, 2009 "Start in" must be the normal Arma2 folder, not the beta folder.

pchaxor 0 Posted November 9, 2009 It creates a shortcut to launch the beta in your \Steam\steamapps\common\arma 2 folder. At least thats what I have been using without any issues.
