Anti-Personnel Mine field script v0.2

Recommended Posts

Ok, I thought I'd share this publicly and see what the result is.

I've developed this Anti-Personnel Mine Field script in preparation for a mission I'm making. Its quite easy to use, drop a rectangular marker on the area you want to cover and edit your Init.sqf file with the name of the marker.

The area will auto-populate with danger signs and sunken mines. To state the obvious, yes you will explode if you enter the area.

What a coincidence, I was just thinking I need an antipersonnel mine script for my next cqb mission.

I will surely try this out.

Thank you.

Wolffy.au: first question I ask when I see a minefield script - does it cause any lag in MP?

Although I love to blow things up :D, the minefields are impenetrable as the AI is unaware of any danger (eventhough the area has the dangersigns ;))..

I havent found a way to command an engineer to disarm a mine, only when its the player.. is this correct?

There is no realism about this minefield script and it is purely designed to funnel human players into an area, rather than have them avoid objectives in your missions.

If I ever had the need to create more realistic minefields, I'll let you guys know.

Download and extract the folder to your ArmA2\other Profiles\Yournick\Missions and load it in the editor.

You'll find the INIT.SQF file in there, which you edit with NOTEPAD.
