So Team Killing is rewarded in this game??

Recommended Posts

Its happened to me 2 nights in a row, on 2 different servers. I was intentionally TK more than once by the same person. Nothing was done about it from the host of the server so I vocally complained and in the first instance got kicked for it. In the second instance they kicked the offender, when he repeatedly kept re-joining (User name 'Phil') the host accepted him after he promised not to do it again, but 5 minutes later had TKd me twice. I was understandably pissed & did it back to the bugger after no action was done. I was the one then kicked off. So it seems the deviants get to play and do what the hell they want..just dont dare complain about it when nothing is done..

Public servers. Like public toilets, they attract deviants. Not always, but certainly more often than your private toilet :)

Good pictured - Markwick! ;-)

There is a long thread about the bad behaviour on public servers ...

There are so many noobish admins ... that's the reason for that shit.

If you enter public server, say hello to admin and ask him politely, whether he does serious admin job, e.g. kicking teamkillers or sidechangers (in Warfare missions).

If he doesn't answer or does answer (often) in an unappropriate manner ("who are you ... to speak to me ..." etc. etc.), consider it as just a kids & noobs server and accept that or even better: leave.

Whereas teamkilling can happen - but the teamkiller should immediately at least say "sorry" and if it happens three times I would say: Kickem nevertheless !

Oh yea I know TK happens by accident, when the guy is standing right infront of you and shoots you in the head you know its by choice.

I had already spent 20 mins trying to find a good server I was 'allowed' to fly in and I primarily want to be CAS. So if I left I might not find another server or waste more of my limited time looking, I didnt have all evening to play.

What I hate is that mods are present but do nothing, and when I bring it to their attention Im labeled as a 'trouble maker' which is totally infair.

When I killed that little douche back he had the gaul to complain about it and Im the one who gets kicked out I wanted to freeking beat the crap out of him..grr..

and thats the reason why i chose monitored servers where the admins stands up and kick/ban those DR scumbags!

How can one tell its monitored before joining? The one I was in last night was too but they allowed the TKer to come back and keep doing it.

I would join a clan/squad but cant figure out how to get Teamspeak/Ventrillo working for some reason and they usually require such things

wildone 106,

From your description it would seem that you are the one who was playing as someone named "PMC" on the BMF server last night. You are a bit disingenuous in your description of the events last night and I will not go into every detail here as there is no point to it. You are right about a user named "Phil" team killing. He had been on the previous night as well doing the same thing. You are wrong about the admin not doing anything, Phil had been kicked several times during the course of the night.

He had been given another chance after claiming to be a good boy, but he was being watched closely. As expected of such a player, he of course he went back to trying to team kill again, however before he started up again he had been in fact on the OPFOR side while you and I were on the BLUEFOR side. When you claimed that he team killed you, you left out the fact that he was on the other side and it was a valid kill. I specifically remember that this took place on the AAS "Starry" map. You then proceeded to switch sides and then team killed him. You were kicked (only once) since you obviously had known what you were doing. We do not need to turn it into a TK fest. The admin was paying attention.

BMF has a public Ventrilo server. If you download and install Ventrilo PM me and I will give you the information that you need to jump on their server. I was on their Ventrilo server last night.

I suggest that if you have any additional issues with this you discuss it on the BMF forums:

If a server admin wants Phil's player ID PM me and I am more than happy to share it with you.

What annoys me more is when accidental teamkillers get rewarded with a deliberate teamkill, and it is perfectly accepted. To me ANY kind of deliberate team killing is almost just as bad as those just trying to ruin the game.

It has happened to me a few times (I hate getting killed, and I might be more nervous than some), but I just log off and don't touch the game for a few days until I calmn down. I hate any kind of team killing as much as the next guy, but sometimes it happens by accident. But being awarded a deliberate teamkill as a teamkill response? Such players would be banned for life on our server.

Hey - that's earnestly the sense of duty and seriousness we all need.

Thanx for your serious acting and posted thoughts (I quoted only few of it, but I all liked it) on this.

Thanx M9ACE.

OP got pwnt?

Seriously, complaining about unmonitored / poorly-admin'ed servers and then the admin comes on and makes a fool of you.

I only say all this to point out to others reading this thread, those that may be thinking "Oh, it's so hard to find a decent public server!" that well-run, closely-watched servers are out there where d-bags will get banned and you can be assured of having a good time.

Everytime I teamkill, I tend to feel quite bad about it, usually because the event that cause the tk was due to outright bad judgement on my part, and of course it irritates the guy who you killed. The other day I was playing on a server running an AAS match. I decided to solo fly in a KA-52 and fired two SA-80's (sp?) into an objective area. Well there was a teammate in there...and I knew that, but I didn't pay attention to just how far in objective zone he was and turned out he was right where I fired. Needless to say I face-palmed myself. I was in a hurry to shoot something and things like that tend to cause fuck-ups.
