enforcer1975 0 Posted October 26, 2009 Yes it is, once the CLU has locked the target, the information is sent to the missile, the missile is then fired and the missile seeks out the image that the CLU sent to it. I was referring to the missiles target system...why a "manual" in direct attack mode? :j: Failed to investigate or not possible with the engine?
buliwyf 4 Posted October 26, 2009 Is that right? Now you got it! ;)
Flash Thunder 10 Posted October 26, 2009 Anyway you could add an interface to the Javelin? Thats the only thing missing from the thing! Nice fancy shinny interface. And possibly a better model. I'll give the mod a go soon.

Tankbuster 1747 Posted October 26, 2009 Now that I know how to use it properly, it's NEVER leaving my hard disc! Many thanks Heinbloed and Buliwyf. I agree that the interface is a bit clunky as pressing spacebar calls up the other menu for me and you have to press fire twice sometimes, once to dismiss the other menu and again to launch the missile, but all in all, it's a good improvement in functionality for the Jav. Nice job.
HeinBloed 0 Posted October 27, 2009 (edited) I agree that the interface is a bit clunky as pressing spacebar calls up the other menu for me and you have to press fire twice sometimes, once to dismiss the other menu and again to launch the missile. There is no need to press spacebar (Opening the CommandingMode). You can lock every target on sight with your lock key. The use of the CommandingMode is just to make sure that the target is locked. I use it this way: 1. Lock the target. 2. Open the CommandingMode to be sure the target is locked. If the target is locked i close the CommandingMode. If the target is not locked i'll try to lock it again until it is locked. 3. Fire. Edited October 27, 2009 by HeinBloed
Tankbuster 1747 Posted October 27, 2009 There is no need to press spacebar (Opening the CommandingMode). You can lock every target on sight with your lock key. Now you see that doesn't always work for me. Maybe that is where I'm getting confused. I've reassigned the lock key in to a different key (the delete key) because I use right click to transmit on teamspeak.
eggbeast 3685 Posted August 12, 2011 what this needs is a merging of thefiring modes of the dragon and the javelin, with M the default key to switch - would be a sensible interface - either add a muzzle that works like a dragon but with javelin ammo, or add the weapon and merge the ammo and run a scriptto swap them out when you toggle mode... that might be a bit clunky, but messing with muzzles is notoriously buggy in arma... still would like to see this - might have a go at it
