Thanks i look forward to anything russian that gets put out in the future. I mean now even the OICW is out (I think the 20 mm thing is a bit overkill) and this is to my knowledge on of the first russian addons to make it. Bit uneven

I'm not sure I understand all the 'uneven' and 'unfair' comments lately.

First of all you can give any weapon to any unit. E,W,Guer or Civ.

Second..it is up to the mission designers that use the add-ons to balance their missions, otherwise they wouldn't be any fun.

Yes I would like to see some good, modern wepons for the East side (getting tired of reskinned AK's), but until someone does that, there's nothing wrong with an East squad with OICW's or G-11's , or whatever you want to give them. If you have a hang-up with realism (first of all you shouldn't be playing games)..second..just imagine that they picked them up on the black market.

Timberwolf this is not meant as a flame. But how on earth do you imagine an OICW being on the blackmarket? Second why would the russian army use it? They dont have spares and the ammo might be a different calibre. Now you may say just copy the spares from one of the rifle. Well the russians tried to do that when they copied the anglofrench Concorde. Its not that easy. I said that the way new usermade addons is a bit lobbsided. Which in my view is true, one russian weapon against 10 western weapons. Second OFP is a Infantry Simulation not a CS style FPS, so its not that odd to expect a bit of realism. With all these new sniper rifles its not that hard to go to where OFP is like FireArms (a HL mod) 2 people actually trying to conquer the other peoples base (the actuall objective in that map) and the other 14 people with barrets sniping the crap out of every thing that moves being a spawn point. That sure killed the fun in FireArms for me.

Dude, you really need to lighten up...it is only a GAME...you aren't the only person who bought it, and others who did should be free to play how they want. If you don't like a particular add-on just don't download it. And if the russians have a weapon that matches the OICW, then make an add-on for it. Otherwise, use a little imagination. I don't know about you, but I found OFP in the 'Games' section at the software store...and last time I checked games were for fun. Yes it's a great simultaion, but it's still a game.

BTW the VSS is very nice.
