Communication as the ways of conyeing and exchanging once ideas,opinion an emotions can take countless forms.so everyond should fair in judgeing himself.In which type of communication they are good and put there view or things in behind of anyone.i.e,all communication can not be of the same type and can not flow through the same means,much depends upon who speak or write the message.As we all have written communication here but whats about verbal communication.put your views or experience.

In this you have to tell about your way in which you can express your views or thinking.for example if we speak in public meeting and everyone understan what we say than you are good in verbal.If you think that you can put your views in written is better than your written communication is good.but should be understandable .

I'm guessing you're from China or something, I thought I heard somewhere there are more people in China who speak English (not fluently I suppose) than native English speaking countries... but I think that can be attributed to the fact that there are just a lot more Chinese people than native English speakers...

CHINA is behind us in speaking english from us.As myself bad in english but my region people speak very well english.i did't know english very well i accept this.what about your location USA or EUROPE.but i guess you are european.

Yah you are right,wikipedia information is wrong.and i know you came across of my region people daily and know about there english way of speaking.iam bad as i say.there are many my region people in NASA as you know.most hardworking people.

Depends on circumstance.

I need to tell some one there is rock falling toward them while we are climbing. I do not send them a formal report I shout "BELOW! ROCK"

If I am taking a message for someone who is not there I use message notepad with the format already on it.

To:

From:

Message taken by:

Date: Time

Subject:

Message content:

If I am writing a report. I fire up Word or Open Office

If I am wanting to communicate emotions I sing or write or speak poetry.

If I want debate I resort to a forum or common or garden verbal debate in the round.

If I want to communicate complex brainstorming thoughts I use rich pictures and white boards ditto math or physics.

If I want to tell my mum I cannot make it for Sunday tea I phone.

If I want to woo a woman I use the eyes, and facial expressions, I tell her I think she is beautiful, and massage her shoulders or feet.

THERE IS NO ONE SIZE FITS ALL FORM OF COMMUNICATION.

Communication is complex, chaotic, emergent and beautiful and has no one definition or method, despite Aristotle's efforts; we humans are still discovering how it works.

Written, you cant backspace what you say and i do this about 50 times per sentence because i start typing/talking before i know what i really want to say. As you can imagine whatever i say in real life feels like several different sentences are mixed up. This is because they are. :p

Not putting you down at all, just wanted to make sure that was the problem before assuming you just couldn't write at all, and the irony of it all is that you made a communications thread :)

I applaud the knowledge of another language as I myself only know English, and not too well either

At least I'm somewhat honest. The internets are a whole other buisness. Makes socially retarded people like me acceptable.

It depends. For communicating on the internet, I prefer written, since it somewhat limits the language barrier, and for mod-project related talk, it has the added bonus of having every decision, idea, plan etc written down at the same time, so it doesn't have to be done afterwards. For people that I know in real life (social contacts, work), I prefer face to face, or at least voice communication, not texting.
