Escort Antonia Lagushina to drop off point

Recommended Posts

Can anyone help please? I have arrrested Antonia Langushina and taken her to the drop off point but no one comes to pick her up. I have had contact with the enemy and killed all but there is an enemy vehicle nearby.

What do I do now?

Thanks:butbut:

There's supposed to be a hind-chopper coming in to pick her up, but if you don't kill the UAZ with HMG fast enough, the UAZ will shoot the chopper down. If the hind is shot down, you don't get any messages about it so it looks like it's what has happened.

You can either revert to a previous save or kill her. If you go for the latter, you'll lose the evidence she has.

Might be worth trying to take her back to base.

I went back to the base and she got out after me. I will go back in the APC and destroy the enemy vehicle which looks like something similar to the APC but with a big gun on it.

Thanks for your help.

I arrested her, took her to LZ , there was a chopper standing also, I disembarked everyone including me but she didn't came out, as steverido did, I took my apc back to the base, nothing happened, I met capt Shaftoe and my mission completed.

It sometimes takes a while for Lagushina to realize you have got out of vehicle and it works best if you get out first and leave Razor Team still in. So maybe all you would have had to do was to wait longer. Near LZ when seeing CDF helicopter she might also exit and run automatically if you are close enough and sometimes this happens so fast you fail to notice it.

When boarding vehicles also order Razor Team to get in first and only after that get in yourself and this way Lagushina enters vehicles best.

Same goes for Dogs Of War mission POW and Lopotev.

Never heard there would be any benefit for taking Lagushina to FOB Manhattan.

It is CDF hind helicopter that comes to get her and they want the evidence she has. So USMC does not care about her or the evidence.

I took her to the LZ after clearing it, and no Hind came, so I pressed on to the main enemy base with her in tow. Right after the airstrikes took place, the Lagushina and base destruction objectives suddenly completed in quick succession, and she was gone. This was while we crouched in the woods near the enemy base.

Right on OMAC! This is something that should be documented in weirdest positive things on Arma2 official missions. :)

I still do not know if that CDF Hind helicopter comes from Krasnostav airfield or from Chernogors area where one helicopter icon constantly hovers if you look with UAV, but the reason for it to not show up is usually the same. It has been flying long enough for enemy AA Specialist to shoot it down or damage it enough to make it emergency land somewhere.

I'll bet you're right about the Hind being shot down. I had wondered why it never came for me. I had figured it was another content bug!

Yes. When Lagushina is escorted to LZ. Hind heads there and if there is AA Specialist alive on that route, it may shoot Hind down. Every sentry point (all 6 of them including 4 that are required to be cleared) have one AA Specialist. So it is less risky to clear them first to make path for Hind.

Hind seems to take-off and/or land in Krasnostav airstrip and same goes with transport helicopter.

In this picture you see CDF Transport Helicopter, CDF assault helicopter and USMC transport helicopter on top right is FOB Manhattan hill.

Why and when they return to Kransnostav airstrip is probably when they get too much damage or are low on fuel.

Once I have seen Hind pilots stand outside it. So they may get shot by enemy footpatrols that are having their partisan activity around Kransnostav airstrip. So in that case Hind actully is undamaged but does not come because of no pilots.

I see. Before I dropped the lady off, I did clear 4-5 of the sentry points, including one on the top of the hill immediately to the NW of Krasnostav. There may be another sentry group on the hill to the NE of the airstrip - I didn't clear that one, and maybe it shot the Hind down? I will never know.

By the way, can you identify exactly which missions and scanarios the 1.09 fixes refer to? I never did understand what the I* referred to (scenarios?). I thought that the C* referred to campaign missions, but that is not clear (does C1 correspond to Amphib. Assault? - If so, why?)

* Fixed: I2 - mission is not failling before the takeoff. [One Week Later?]

* Fixed: C1,I1 - SD pistol mags were missing. [Amphibious Assault and ... ?]

* Fixed: C5 - high command icons were not loaded.

* Fixed: C6 - task waypoint for transport important POW is fixed.

* Fixed: C3 - smuggler not shooting. [Manhattan]

* Fixed: C2 - Pepan is not at the pump.

* Fixed: I1 - Shilka was too strong.

* Fixed: I1 - Razor is hunting down one enemy on whole chernarus.

* Fixed: minor fixes in (CZ/RU) dubbing protocol.

NW hill sentry camp is the only one I have once seen cleared by AI friendlies, before I got there it was already marked with that bright green circle and all enemies there were dead. Maybe some helicopter work again or those Humwee patrols that drive around in that area.

NE Ostry hill sentry camp is toughest one because enemies lie down in the top between tents and steep hill makes it hard to lower APC cannon enough to hit anyhing. I usually clear it because Dr. Sova mentions that camp in discussion (making it a little more meaninfull that other camps).

C0 - First to Fight

C1 - Into the Storm

I1 - Amphibious Assault

C2 - Harvest Red

C2B - Razor Two

I2 - One Week Later

C3 - Manhattan

C4 - Bitter Chill

I3 - Delaying the Bear

C5 & C5B - Badlands

C6 & C6B - Dogs of War

C7A - War That Never Was

C7B - Setting Sail

C7C - Missing In Action

C7D - Revelation

C7EF - Newborn Republic

The letter "I" means maybe introduction or something like that since it used in those missions that are basically just transports between real missions. I may be those missions were designed after C missions were done. Just to fill out the caps in plot. Just a wild guess.

This one was something that I never understood: "* Fixed: C2 - Pepan is not at the pump." Who is Pepan and what pump in Razor Two. No idea.

Excellent. Thank you both. Hanzu, where did you get that list? The Wiki?

So Pepan is the Vyshnoye villager in Razor Two, and the fix relates to him being "not at the pump." What exactly was fixed here? I played through in 1.08, and everything worked fine with him. Did BIS just fix some dialog or something? AFAIK, he was near the village pump for me, in the same place where the village leader tells me about incoming troops in Badlands.

I had to manually clear out the sentry post NW of Krasnostav myself, and for some reason I did it on foot (I think I was too lazy to get back into my amphib tank which I had parked a long way off in clearing out the posts in the forests north of Dubrovka, or perhaps it had been damaged or destroyed, and I didn't want to walk back to base to get another vehicle - can't remember). Men were prone among tents there, also, and it was a real bitch to clear out. Grenades should have been the perfect tool to manage them, but I've never liked the grenade implementation in A2, or I guess I needed much more grenade practice. Those prone guys are deadly and invisible! AI friendlies cleared out the Ostry hill camp for me.

If you depbo the campaign that is how the missions are listed. I don't recall what tools are required for that process though so please don't ask me.

About Pepan:

Thank you Jezuro, just a simple sentence from you always clears so much.

I've never actually met this Pepan guy since I always thought Vysnoye filled with hostiles like Novy and Stary in that mission. Also since I always play on Combined Operations side I got bored about the fact that so many civilians and military personnel refused to talk to me. For example Ogilech and those 4 marines that are standing in one of the red X markers. They never talk anything. Actually the only ones I could discuss with were:

Cpt. Shaftoe

Cpt. Dressler

Ltn. Marny

man in front of power plant gate

one of the many Solnichy villagers

Bardak

I wonder if this is because I meet those persons in wrong order (I mean I already got same info they would share from somewhere else) or is this still related to bugs in communication between Arma2 and Operation Arrowhead.

Zipper5 sent me the list in this post.

But like Jakerod said, it is just filenames extracted from pbo-files.

Handgrenades in Arma2 are really risky and ackward to use compared to pretty much all games I have played, but well we could call it realism. That NW hill is easiest to kill by driving APC anticlockwise until you are in downhill northwest of that hill. Then turning cannon southeast to point to the hill with tents and making some noise they all attack or flee to you one by one. Its the best visibility from there and I didn't even have to visit the hill at all. With a little bit of luck when those enemies are still prone they can be eliminated by hitting tree trunks and blasting explosions to them.

You are going to laugh at this, but I love trees, and I refused to just crash through the forest in the LV amphib tank to get the sentry posts. I drove in between trees to as close as possible, but usually took care of the posts on foot. The game is much harder that way. I took out the prone sentries through careful crawling and some grenades, but it took a few tries. That was the hardest part of Manhattan for sure, similar to clearing out the enemy nest with evidence in the Black Forest east of Novy Sobor in Razor 2.

Next time I may say to hell with the trees and follow a scorched earth policy when clearing those sentry posts. :D

Dammit, I've faced the situation (it was discussed several times at this forum) when heli, which is supposed to take Lagushina aboard, starts attacking main ChDKZ camp. After engaging heli doesn't land.

I've reverted mission several times (i've made a save just before entering evac zone, before Coops calls for heli), but it's all the same.

What shall I do? Destroy main camp first?

I allwas traveled via "starforce 21" and cleared all camps on foot in this mission. Did you guys really traveled to all the locations by APC? that must have taken you ages.

I only traveled from Krasnostav to LZ Jersey by car because Star Force 21 had got shot as I had tried to reach LZ Jersey by it.
