The cutscenes, the music, the animations, the weapons, the vehicles, the open terrain, the sense of reality including confusion on the battlefield when playing Ambush the first few times, the ability to whip up new user missions on the fly. madmike 0 Posted March 17, 2002 That demo was the best I have ever played. They chose the perfect mission and Ambush is still my favourite mission. Espectro (DayZ) 0 Posted March 17, 2002 Well.... What first made my jaw drop was in the demo. Where u have drived in that jeep, and he tell you to drive the jeep. I was like... WOW, u can drive vehicles in this game??!! (I didnt know any better ) Then i drove the jeep to the spot where we were supposed to meet up with the 5t trucks. I got in, and saw everyone had an individual face, and could express various emotions etc. After we disembarked it was like being a part of a group, which made me feal... This is going to be THE game online. And from that, everything made me wanna own this game. My first online experience, was about 1 week prior its release (Cause I downloaded the game before i bought it) and it was AWESOME i tell u!!! Well, my first mission was the original CTF on everonm, in which i got lost. And it was really cool!! Cause i kept walking and walking, and suddenly i was at a city sign, then i told some of my teammates where i was... AND a guy came and picked me up in a skoda!! Lol that was amazing! Also, my second game was on the same mission, where i arranged a "sightseing" for me and 2 others. I drove the skoda while they were in the back and it was amazing. Hasha 2 Posted March 17, 2002 THe most memorable times in OF is in Red Hammer Campaign where you have to steal a Mi17 from a base, get shot down, go back to HELL again to steal refuel truck and take off and then you hear your lost commorade begging for help on the radio. Man, my heart pounded when I have to race against time to fly to the vilage to rescue then while I seen M1a1s and Vulcans speeding towards them, this mission really gave me a sense of pride and achievement, almost like real world rescue! paintfreak67 0 Posted March 17, 2002 in the demo, when i shot the little russian jeep thing(can't think of the name) and it veered off of the road into a tree. i went to investigate after we took that area and i found out that i had shot the driver in the head, thorugh the wind sheild, and he wrecked the car. the passenger got out but one of my buddies waisted him.
