    Auto drop down

I'm not actually sure about this one. But ever noticed that when you play the game, as faraway objects comes closer, their graphical detail jumps up. I think auto-drop down determines how close you have to be to the object before graphical detail is jumped up. In simpler terms: It determines the LOD of faraway objects. I think. I play the game on "none", in case your wondering. Why? Because my computers a sissy.

The thing of flashpoint that made your jaw drop?

There's a warewolf in Cain? I didn't know that. Anyway, the bit that shocked me was how large the maps were. I mean, the envioronments in Flashpoint are bigger then my home town. It's amazing.

    Debris

Well, when a tank explodes, there is debris, but it doesn't cause a performance hit because it's a 2-d layer in front of the screen (like rain). All they need to do is make them more "meaty".

What's a good of  benchmark score?

"Enders me into your hearts", hmm? Send me a good PC, now. Now, I tells ye. Actually, credit must go to the programmers - Operation Flashpoint's performance isn't that bad. Considering the massive amounts of data it has to proccess, my computer does a pretty damned fine job at keeping up to speed. The only mission I can't play properly is "Battlefeilds". But watching it moving like a slide-show is amusing.

What's a good of  benchmark score?

I think I need to win an award. My score is a WOPPING 665. I am da man. I'm running on a Intel Pentium2, with 350mhz. I'm crying as I type this...

    PATCH 1.30

I have the same problem. I recently bought the Gold Edition of Flashpoint, and I just CAN'T upgrade to 1.42. I'll double click the patch, and the OpFlashpoint logo comes up, and it reads the CD. Then, a dialogue box comes up which says "Please insert the correct CD ROM". I don't have a CD-RW, and thefore, I don't have any CD burning utillities. I have a completely clean install of WindowsME. The thing is, Operation Flashpoint can read my CD PERFECTLY, so why can't the patch? I've tried reinstalling Flashpoint, and it didn't work. I'm getting pretty frustrated. I'm not willing to reformat my drive, OR borrow another CD-Rom drive. I've tried reinstalling the default WinME APSI layer, and it still doesn't work. Any suggestions?
