nuggetz 0 Posted July 26, 2009 I know a lot of people would kill for a sticky in this forum that's updated regularly by BIS to let us know that the game is being optomized. Posting specifics would probably make some people happy and others mad but I'd like to know what to expect. I'm tired of coming here everyday checking to see if someone has come up with a magic fix to the performance issues we are facing, or if a new nVidia patch has improved things. You guys have my $50, the least you can do is throw us a bone once in a while. At this point, I'd be satisfied with knowing that A2 is what it is if that's the case. Would save me a lot of time with tweaking the game and reading threads in this forum. I would much rather forget this game if I knew we wouldn't see a good patch til next year. If it's time to move on, then I have no problem with that., just tell us that you're a small team or whatever and they we shouldn't expect anything for 6 months or whatever. Wouldn't be the first 50 bucks I blew. There's no way I'm sticking with this game like I did with Arma 1 as patches for that game were too few and far between. It's such a shame that this forum is so hoppin'. There's potential for a truly kick-ass game here. Your customer.

bangtail 0 Posted July 26, 2009 (edited) Second. Thanks for the reminder. I feel like I've been visiting this forum all my life and had forgotten the reason why... Why? Let them work on it instead of wasting time massaging certain people's egos. It's understood they are working on a patch. It was the same with OFP and A1. What do you think they are doing? Drinking Tequila in Costa Rica? Eth EDIT - It appears that they may be on vacation, but even if that is the case, everyone needs a vacation :) Edited July 26, 2009 by BangTail
wooly-back-jack 10 Posted July 26, 2009 I suggest deleting eths post and merging the 1st two with this thread http://forums.bistudio.com/showthread.php?t=81197 :p
bangtail 0 Posted July 26, 2009 (edited) I suggest deleting eths post and merging the 1st two with this thread http://forums.bistudio.com/showthread.php?t=81197 :p There is no way that all the gripes (some of which have nothing to do with the game itself) are going to get adressed by the patch and all that these stupid updates will accomplish is more whining when people see that issue X IS being resolved while issue Y is NOT being resolved. Updates serve no purpose. Let them work on the patch. Secondly, I am just as justified posting in this thread as you are. I would like to see the patch as much as you would but no amount of time wasting updates will expedite it's arrival. They will more than likely hinder it's release. Eth PS : BIS did release a partial list of what is being fixed/worked on in 1.03 JFYI. http://www.armaholic.com/page.php?id=6393 Edited July 26, 2009 by BangTail
Dogtags 0 Posted July 26, 2009 Aren't they all on holidays until sometime in August? so I read, maybe just a rumor but explains why nothing is coming from BIS and the few lines of release notes we saw for 1.03 patch a while ago matches with a graduate developer fixing bugs or a junior dev, no real core code stuff. Not sure about that but everyone needs a vacation. So if it's true, it's all good. As you said, the patch notes aren't that detailed, but they are patch notes. franze 196 Posted July 26, 2009 Another patch thread brutally slaughtered by the BI Forum Moderators. You can avoid this by voting "YES" for Moderator Lobotomies and "YES" for Total Forum Anarchy.
