j0ck3 10 Posted June 25, 2009 Whenever I drive any kind of vehicle they seem to automatically steer to the left without any input from my side. Restarting the game does not seem to solve this issue either. It's not that it is unplayable but having to basically hold W+D instead of just W to drive straight is getting annoying after a while. If this is a known issue with an answer somewhere then sorry for this post. Couldn't find anything in troubleshooting or when searching (the results are vague as words like vehicle, left, steering and controls are generating very many results)
maddogx 13 Posted June 25, 2009 Try moving your mouse to the right while driving straight ahead. EDIT: Just to clarify, I don't mean constantly. I mean move it to the right until it's centered.
klamacz 448 Posted June 25, 2009 check if you have Joystick turned on in control configuration. Turn it off. In Arma1 if you dont have controller phisically connected you could turn on this option and effect was like you described.
{SAS}Silentkiller 0 Posted June 25, 2009 Did you knock into something before this or is this happening for a completely untouched car? If it gets knocked it will affect the steering.

In Arma1 if you dont have controller phisically connected you could turn on this option and effect was like you described. Didn't see a direct option to turn it off but removing all USB Joystick keybinds seems to have solved the issue. Thanks Seeing as I unplugged my Joystick I find it strange that this happens. Tammej 10 Posted June 25, 2009 If I drive a vehicle in fast mode, it doesn't seem to be able to steer to the right anymore. Only to the left. A bit odd, but I can just drive normally for the second I need steering.
CarlGustaffa 4 Posted June 25, 2009 Sounds like a keyboard not suitable for gaming. Cheap office keyboards often have limitations on how many keypresses you can have at once, what keypresses you can have at once, and/or in what sequence they were triggered. Netherscourge 10 Posted June 25, 2009 BTW - has anyone tried this game with a Xbox 360 USB controller yet on the PC? Curious if you can use it and how well it works.
