nominesine 0 Posted June 22, 2009 Can someone please explain the difference between these two settings: Interface resolution and 3D resolution What do they do and how are they related to each other?
whisper 0 Posted June 22, 2009 interface resolution is the resolution you'll see on screen 3D resolution is the resolution used to render 3D world before adapting it to the interface resolution
flake 10 Posted June 22, 2009 it makes sense to keep them the same. sometimes mine changes by itself :/
-=seany=- 5 Posted June 22, 2009 I find this quite an odd option to give us, it looks terrible when not at 1:1 ratio and also doesn't seem change performance by more than 3-4 FPS. Maybe the gains would be better with lower end hardware. To stop your settings changing, make your Arma2.cfg "Read Only"
mopimpy 10 Posted July 16, 2009 i have made it read only and the game still changes them so they are both different; the result is horrid. this game would be great without the important graphical problems! cheers paulmc
sleayer 10 Posted July 16, 2009 i read on forum it's better to put higher resolution for the screan and lower for the 3d. it's working very nice for me.
Jimmy the Saint 10 Posted July 16, 2009 A higher 3d resolution (above 133 percent) can be a good alternative to AA which might use more system resources.
Greg 0 Posted July 17, 2009 This is a very useful option. You can run the HUD and user interface at high resolution to make control, maps and menus easier to use. You can reduce the 3D resolution independently if you encounter performance problems. You can increase the 3D resolution to obtain higher a quality anti aliasing if your system can handle it.
