Eroglik 0 Posted June 18, 2009 (edited) Hey guys, was wondering if someone can help me. I'm using track IR4 with Arma 2 and my track IR is at the latest software version and I've updated my games list thing. I start up Arma 2, the little blue light is on to say that it sees my game and the green light is on to show that it's tracking. I load up the armoury only to find out that Track IR doesn't seem to be moving my head in game, infantry or vehicles. I can see in the controls it's got Track IR set for infantry lean and under move head analog, whatever that means. The controls read something like: Look up/down etc (analog) - 'Track IR rot up./down' etc Sorry if this is a silly question but why isn't it working? Arma 1 was just start up Track IR, load the game and done. Has my game reassigned my Track Ir controls to the wrong place or something? Any help would be appreciated, this game looks great but I can't fly anything until I get this issue sorted. :) If someone could help me out soonish, that would be awesome. Holding off playing properly until it's fixed Edited June 18, 2009 by Eroglik

Thank you very much.

sirex 0 Posted June 18, 2009 ... and bonus by the way (and my favorite thing about arma2) if you use multiple controllers (joystick / n52 / trackir) you can leave them all plugged in yay !
Gordon.F 10 Posted June 25, 2009 Hello I am using TrackIR4 Pro I have exactly the same problem. I enabled the TrackIR from the controllers and I downloaded new patches etc. but still it doesn't work for me. I haven't got any problems using TrackIR in FSX or ArmA I. Is there be anything else that I should do? - Gordon
SWAT_BigBear 0 Posted June 25, 2009 This was the only problem I had when upgrading to TIR5 software & Vista64, and it was fixed as I mentioned. http://forums.bistudio.com/showpost.php?p=1304629&postcount=7 I did not have to do that step with a fresh install of W7 and TIR5 (only) software. I'm still using the TIR4 unit.

NaturalPoint_Vincent 0 Posted June 25, 2009 Do you have ArmA 2 listed in the games list, of the TrackIR software?
happy 10 Posted June 25, 2009 Issue resolved.. I have a TrackIR3 with vector expansion.. one of the best things I bought years ago for IL2, it needed 1 small update and that seem to have done the trick. Either that or the reinstall process did it.. anyway it works and it's so good to see it in ARMA2, whole new dimension looking around while walking. Lostlogic 10 Posted June 28, 2009 I have a TrackIR 4 Pro (the clip is on my headset) and it's not working in Arma2? 1. I can see the heads moving around fine in the TrackIR software 2. I uninstalled and reinstalled v4 of the software 3. I'm on Vista-64 4. I updated the game files and see Arma2 in the profiles 5. I enabled the controller in the controller screen in Arma 2 6. I also have a XBox controller present in there 7. I can see the TrackIR shortcuts in the customize controller screen (for leaning, looking, etc.) 8. I run both Arma2 and TrackIR software as administrator 9. I am playing the Steam version of Arma2 10. I used to play Arma1 all the time with this rig (bought TIR4 for it) Nothing happens in game with the above. I have no blue light either? Any ideas what is wrong? In the dropdown menu, select Check for game updates. Restart TIR and you should be fine. I got caught out the same way. I had only checked software updates before. Lostlogic 10 Posted June 28, 2009 (edited) Go to your TIR and click on updates. In the dropdown menu, select Check for game updates. Restart TIR and you should be fine. I got caught out the same way. I had only checked software updates before. I did that, in step #4 actually. I checked for both software and game updates and restarted just in case (even though it didn't have me restart on the software update check.) Any other ideas? I've also tried creating a profile just for Arma2 and setting it as the exclusive profile. Still no dice. In game I see a yellow light on the top. Does that mean anything? LazarusLong 0 Posted June 28, 2009 I know this has already been mentioned several times, but making sure I was running Track IR & ARMA2 "administrator mode" fixed my problems. I'm not 100% happy with it yet though... my head is moving around way too much in infantry mode which is making aiming really awkward. I'm tweaking my Track IR profile to see if I can make a suitable setup - I need a bigger dead zone or something. I have also noticed that my head (in game) will sometimes get stuck if I turn it too far - recentering using F12 fixes it, so I'm sure it is a Track IR issue and not ARMA2. Anyway, if anyone is using a custom profile for ARMA2 I would love to see a screenshot of your "Gauges". The default ones just arent working out for me. Try unplugging your TIR and plugging it into different usb port. I have found that I had to do that on an odd occasion when using a usb hub. That always seemed to cure the yellow light for me and return it back to green. Might be worth a try even if not using a hub.

NaturalPoint_Vincent 0 Posted June 29, 2009 What version of the TrackIR 4 software are you using?
bravo 6 0 Posted June 29, 2009 did you activate it in ArmA2 controls? You have to else it will not work.
Killerwatt 0 Posted June 30, 2009 Mine is yellow if I have it paused. F9 is the default key to pause/unpause the TIR software. you may want to change the hotkeys to something that wont conflict with game keys. The other defaults are F12 Re-centre, and F7 precision mode.
