Add a CD key to the game

I installed ARMA 2 with no cd key. I just typed 000000000000 where it told me to put in the CD key, so I could play single player.

I did this because I coulden't find my key on the box. Now, I see it. I have my key.

How do I add my key with out re-installing the game? Is this possible?

I'm thinking I need to run regedit and edit my registry but I am not sure.

Any suggestions?

It let you install the game with 0000000... ? I had problems when I mistyped a "2" as a "Z". :confused:

I live in Canada. The game got mailed to me. It wasn't a digital download.

So, i'm using the retail version. But its in a different language. I don't know if it is czech or german

Just wondering, where does one even get the idea of filling the cd key prompt with zeros?

You could try editing the registry--entering the correct key in regedit. I've done that before when I transferred my old install of IL2 to my new computer. Never tried it with a BI game. I wouldn't advise messing with your registry unless you know what you're doing. If you're not sure, then just reinstall the game. You can back up existing configs and player profile (stored in your documents folder) if you don't want to lose them.

Uninstall completely, install properly, only sensible way to do it.
