75th Ranger Regiment ACU Units (WIP of course xD)

@1in1class - You're right about SOF being a new 20th century term, but thats because there is a unit in the Army called Special Forces, aka Green Berets, that does not apply to Rangers, SEALs, etc. Special Forces in the US military is a distinct group of soldiers that have a specific job just like the Ranger Regiment and SEALs. The 101st and 82nd are Infantry Divisions, part of the big Army, not SOF community. The guy in the first pic is an Airborne Ranger, but not part of the 75th Ranger Regiment, the unit Bink is modeling this project on, and this thread topic. I'm just pointing out that the gear you posted is not what you'll see the Ranger's (and I mean the 75th Ranger Regiment) carry with them in the field.

The gear in those pics is not what the Rangers wear, but it is similar, I'll give you that. Because they have different jobs which have different gear requirements. Both wear ACU and Multicam, but SF Wear tan Eagle Maritime (and sometimes are issued Land) CIRAS vests. I'm not sure about the liberties given to the Ranger Regiment, but SF Groups, typically, are given more freedom to pick and choose their kit (my unit was). So sometimes you'll see different Eagle, Tactical Tailor, and Blackhawk chest rigs and plate carriers.

AFAIK the Regiment, like most of the Army, gotta stick to the plate carriers they're issues, which is usually an Eagle Plate Carrier and Cummerbund in Ranger Green, usually over a low-vis soft armor vest. Either way, 95% of the time you'll see Rangers wearing their Ranger Green plate carrier kit, with SF wearing Tan CIRAS vests.

Ya different mission different gear. That be true, that pic i gave is ranger gear though. If you look vary close that vest that you talk about that is eagle plate type, he is wearing. Its just attachments to it with lots of top side gear. Thats why i post that pic. It because most missions vary so i just put in the one with most gear. All plate/vest that are in US military have attachments as we both know for different missions to be carried out. Bottom 2 pics are very nice. First one show lots of top gear in action.

Yes i do think that all rangers have to go to Airborn School and thats were they come from.

really like the guy with the PCU on, are you gonna make just specific units wearing them or are you going to make versions of every unit with and without it?

from what i recall both the Engineer and the AT Specialist wear a pcu lvl 5 jacket.

Lol k k ha first you say SOF is not Rangers then well.... im just mixed up with all that you say. That pic is just an point out of some tan gear, and yes Rangers of the 75th wear that gear with some tan to it. I said nothing of that pic being an 75th Ranger. Plz just stop it with this.

Thats not what I said. Read what I did say, please. Attention to detail. Rangers are not Special Forces. That pic you had was a Special Forces Operator. Rangers are considered Special Operations Forces (SOF), and so are Special Forces (SF).

You are wrong, Rangers don't wear IOTVs or IBA like the SF Operator is wearing in that picture.

If you knew it wasn't a Ranger then why post in in the 75th Rangers thread? And yes, you did say that guy as a Ranger.

I'm not a mod and thus have no authority, but clearly you are confused and causing frustration, so please I'm asking you to stop adding to it.

Stop misquoting me and actually read what I typed.

Nobody argued with you on that last pic you posted, so stop causing a fight over it. In fact, I posted the same pic a few posts back.

All of those pics I posted are either Eagle PCs with or without the cummerbund, all in Ranger Green, with the exception of one soldier wearing a rig I can't identify.

This is gettin old, kid, so lets drop it. The only reason I'm even responding to you is you a) you keep misquoting me, b) you keep posting misinformation about something you have no experience with. Several people on this forum who have served within the SOF community, some even real Rangers, have tried to correct you. I don't know why you keep insisting on arguing, considering all you have are pictures and wikipedia, when I and these other guys have first had experience.

Thus far all you've contributed is misinformation and misery.

Dude, everyone respects the fact that you like Rangers and want a good addon. But your milphotos.net knowledge doesn't compete with BTDT knowledge. Have faith in the people who have experieinced it themselves to get it right. Or make your own Rangers that you think are right.

First off Ranger709 your the first one to give and bring up stuff on the wikipedia not me. There you go talking down like saying "Kid." No im an grown man and from you saying you were a Ranger does not mean that you know the low down on the New gear they wear! Yet you say you served, but you bring up the same pics as i do and so on. From your words and your buds words as he is your bud right? He says you dont have to get your wings to become an ranger but you say that you do. I find it hard to take in that he or you served! But this is not my place to say you did or dident, but just saying your an Ranger and you know it all does not say that you mite be an kid also or better yet an nurse. I have the respect to go about this, and have gave true pics on real gear that Rangers wear. You even did not know that SOF is the new tearm for the 20th century for Special Forces. I had to tell you that. You mite have people that kiss kis cause you say your this and that, i have no problem with that but when you come on and talk down to me like im an kid. Thats the problem!
