Mercenary16 10 Posted June 5, 2009 In campaign mode i have a strange graphic problem. During gameplay everything in the enviroment is bending, shrinking, ..., (including man, vehicles, grass, trees). That does not happen to crosshair, icons, everything that isnt enviroment related. This is happening only in campaign mode, but in the editor everything is just fine. I am running german version with beta 1.01 patch installed. Did anyone experience something similar? Do you have any solution to this problem? PS: I own an original copy of the game
ultimateflashpoint 10 Posted June 5, 2009 Yes, I know what you mean. It appears to be a sort of heat haze. :)
thyco 0 Posted June 5, 2009 thats the depth of field comming to into play after you have been shuffling and sprinting for too long. unlike Arma1 and OFP, the normal shuffling is now realistic ( ie you can not shuffle 3kms with a minimum of 25kgs and not feel worn out/tired/exaushted. Dr.Pulp 0 Posted June 5, 2009 it's not realisitc. the last thing that happens when i am exausted is, that i can't see straight anymore....weaponsway would be good. but blurring everything is far from realistic.
thyco 0 Posted June 5, 2009 (edited) it's not realisitc. the last thing that happens when i am exausted is, that i can't see straight anymore....weaponsway would be good. but blurring everything is far from realistic. its not realistic to the fact that move 20 meters and your buggered already, however i cant ell you that after ive run 2.4km in just normal running gear im completely fucked for the next 5min kinda like what the depth of field produces ( and yes i suck very badly at running/jogging/whatever) Edit: Dont forget that you are techincally in a warzone and in singleplayer your amember of a recon team, in any extent your not going to running everywhere, your going to be walking as to make sure that you can carry out recon. and one more point, iirc from my time in aus army, the minimum patrol speed rate depending on terrian is 500meters per hour Edited June 5, 2009 by thyco
Mercenary16 10 Posted June 5, 2009 Yes wxactly that, but the problem is that this thing will not turn off when i am resting. And this graphis make me sick and gives me headaches. Does any one know or suggest how to manually turn it off?
Alex72 1 Posted June 5, 2009 When i tested this i have to agree it came too fast. If it came after a longer run it would be cool. But sometimes it seemed i just had to move over a fence and the image looked like i had taken LSD. The image is moving, expanding, shrinking or "waving". Should be tweaked in later patch by BIS i think. Its cool that its there, just make the timing of it more realistic. As someone said above - you dont get screwed view after running 20 meters or walking over a fence. Give us some time so we adapt to move a bit and can sit down getting some juice back before it takes effect. But if you ignore it - it will come. Steinfisch 10 Posted June 5, 2009 Similar experience: (Windows 7, Core 2 Quad, 4GB, GTX280). The graphics system failed sometimes to produce this overstrain effect. The screen remained gray while running and recovered after stopping. I had to restart to avoid this.
lee_h._oswald 0 Posted June 5, 2009 Is it this, what you mean? http://lee.plankton.ch/A2_deformation1.wmv (right click, save...) You have to watch the clip 3-5 times to see the terrain/stones bending/moving/stretching. MfG Lee
ChrisAA 10 Posted June 5, 2009 Errr looks like your field of view has been set higher than normal of the game default. I run wide screen but my gun is on the edge of the screen, you have massive gaps between the sides of your arms that shouldn't be there. See here?
