A few new annoying bogs with 1.46

Recommended Posts

1: Ch47 (and perhaps other choppers I havent checked) are very prone to roll over on their side on landing.. even a level landing.. it just flops over.. this is when using the joystick throttle not keyboard BTW

2: Repair trucks... DONT.. at least they wont repir the M1A1 (possably others).. on a mission me and a few other tanks were damaged and no matter how close to the rear of the repair truck we got we NEVER got the repair option.. so its pretty much useless now it seems..

OLD BUG...'

FIX THE TANK GUN SMOKE FOR THE LOVE OF GOD!

still a massive gout of black/grey smoke.. as have been said its annyone and unrealstic.. its annoying because you cant see your round hit because you ENTRIE view is obscured for several seconds by this massif black and grey cloud... uughg

its unrealistic because.. well.. this isnt the 1800s we dont use black powder muskets on our tanks.. watch a video of a modern MBT firing.. you dont see a massive grey cloud encompasing the entire goddamn tank.. just a big and very brief flash and a small puff of smoke.. that goes away almost as quick as the flash..

another thing similar that is really annoying is all that dust when you are just driving a tank around....and having played this game with 4 different graphics cards now I can say that that smoke lags the hell out of mouse movement on every comp I've tried it on, which is a right pain in the arse

I am sure there isn't really THAT much dust needed, maybe just a little at the back of the tracks. At the moment its like having your own personal tornado or something following you around and it just messes up your aiming sad.gif

good point on the smoke at the barrel. It indeed obscures vision. But I must say I also like it a bit, makes it a surprise if you hit the hostile bugger or not.

Haven't tried the helicopters yet....

The CH47 rolls over on landing when I don't use the auto hover function. But I'll try it with other choppers and see.

Have had no probs with the repair trucks in 1.46, I've repaired both east and west tanks, M1A1 included.

Hmm like 3 hours ago you post a message saying you can't even get 1.46 to work? So I guess you realised how dumb you'd been and removed the config.cpp file? wink.gif

Perhaps next time you can post in the thread saying it doesn't work to let people know you've now got it working.

If you just move a little sideways while landing, it will tip over.

They will run out of material to repair with. If the other tanks repaired before you, there was probably nothing left to repair your tank with.

That's not true. You're wrong here. I can repair any vehicle with no troubles.

It's just a pain in the ass to get the tank positioned next to the repair truck.

My OFP: V1+0, Then Red Hammer (V1.3), then V1.45and then V1.46. No addons (up to now wink.gif).

Today I saw something which I haven`t seen before:

While playing the "Red Hammer" mission of the Red Hammer campaign I saw enemy soldiers and my own comrades passing through the concrete walls which surround the resistance training installation (those barracks with the two watch towers). confused.gif

After killing the resistance I tried everything but I wasn`t able to do the same...

And with the latest patches I can`t drive vehicles keyboard only like I could do it before. sad.gif

And honking and configuring the joypad again is also an problem (joypad only needed for choppers).
