Stimpak_Addict 0 Posted April 4, 2009 I think that a theater mode in this game would be really neat. The game would constantly record all of your gameplay, then put it in Theater mode for you to edit, upload, and share. There could be an option to turn it off or on, for performance purposes. This game has a lot of interesting and cinematic moments, and I would really like to record them to watch them later, and/or share them with my friends. On the editing, I'm not asking for filter effects or anything like that. Just a controllable free-roam camera and fast foward, rewind, slow motion, the ability to create and string together clips, and picture-taking functions. I already saw most of these things in the GDC '08 videos. Thanks.
Deathstruck 375 Posted April 10, 2009 This sounds like fwatch I guess ?
sk3pt 0 Posted April 11, 2009 Some sort of record function would suit this game just perfect, and I can't even express in words how much I want it. :l: It would turn this game into a movie makers nirvana !
SaBrE_UK 0 Posted April 11, 2009 I can barely get 40FPS in ARMA right now, I don't suppose that many PCs will enjoy having their FPS halved. A good feature for those that can afford it, although why not just use FRAPS or whatever?
GepardenK 0 Posted April 11, 2009 A mode like this would be perfect. And when you view the recording later you would be able to fly around and slow time etc, like the devs do in their previews. That would be awesome!
sk3pt 0 Posted April 11, 2009 although why not just use FRAPS or whatever? Noooo, not recording like you do with FRAPS, but recording every movement in the mission so you can review it later with a free moving camera.
SaBrE_UK 0 Posted April 11, 2009 Oh, damn I should read posts better, sorry. Yeah an After Action Review would be great, and VBS2 has it, so maybe it is on the horizon of a future BIS game.
Mudkip 0 Posted April 14, 2009 Like in Battlefield 2? If so then it wouldn't use too much resources.
